About this house rental
The Gingerbread Haus, noteworthy for its craftsmanship, charm, and whimsical design, is nestled on 11 acres of private land and just a short drive from all the major trails at the Hocking Hills State Park. Entertain on the large deck that overlooks a stocked pond for catch-and-release fishing, a wooded hillside, and a meadow with occasional wildlife visitors. The cabin features three bedrooms, each with a full bathroom, so there’s plenty of space to find privacy. The full kitchen has all the amenities of a home; you can dine outdoors on the deck or in the dining room inside. After a long day of hiking, relax in the hot tub under the stars or roast marshmallows around the fire ring. Enjoy the conveniences of modern family life (Wi-Fi and Hulu Live TV) while surrounded by the beauty of the Hocking Hills. No matter the season, you’re guaranteed to find the Gingerbread Haus as cozy as home.
The Space
Gingerbread's charming space greets you with elaborate architecture. Enjoy the conveniences of modern family life, such as wifi and Hulu Live TV, while surrounded by the beauty of the Hocking Hills.
The main level features a half bathroom, an open living space with a gas fireplace, a large TV, and an oversized couch and chairs. Adjacent to the living room is a cozy nook for reading or bird watching. Walk through the ornate doorway to the dining area and open kitchen. The kitchen has all the amenities of a home. Off the kitchen, is the large deck that overlooks a stocked pond for catch-and-release fishing, a wooded hillside, and a meadow with occasional wildlife visitors. A short walk from the deck is a 5-person hot tub, a fire ring, and an outdoor gazebo. The main level also features a bedroom with a queen bed, a full bathroom, and a desk.
Head up the floating staircase, and grab a book or a game from the built-in shelving or watch TV. This area also has a comfortable couch and a door that leads to a balcony overlooking the pond. Off the upstairs living area, is the master suite which features a king bed and a full bathroom. The upper level also has the perfect kid's room with three twin trundle beds and a full bathroom.

Guests have access to the entire home except for a couple of locked closets.

If children are staying, guests should supervise children at all times due to the pond's close proximity to the house.

Enjoyed a wonderful Fall weekend stay with our OU students. Able to escape and enjoy the outdoor space and some great family time. About 40 mins from campus. Well stocked with everything you need. Would definitely return.

Everything was great about this house except there wasn’t any hot water. The hottest we got was luke warm. I heated water on the stove to wash my pots and pans. Other than that it met all of our needs.
