The cabin is beautifully decorated with rustic wood decor and furniture, pretty bathrooms and has the most amazing Mountain View and the whole family spent a lot of time on the balconies taking in the panoramic scenery. The dryer did not work and one ceiling fan in a bedroom was really noisy and out of balance. The floors needed a good scrubbing in the kitchen area and air conditioning wasn’t cooling the house as it should. The faux leather headboards on the beds were cracked and chipping off on our pillows. We were charged an extra 400 and accused of putting soap into the pool which was not true at all but could not get the owner to talk to me about it.

Great place to stay, the property has lots to offer for family entertainment. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub and game room, and the balconies all have great views. A word of warning, there is a bear in the area that is very adept at opening car unlocked doors. No damage inside, but a lot of muddy footprints.

Nice house and location

El Chalten has remarkable views of the surrounding Smoky Mountains and during our visit a mama bear brought her 3 young cubs right into our yard. It was so exciting! However, if you are not familiar with driving on mountain roads, get ready for a harrowing experience. The roads are narrow, have few guardrails and multiple turns where your nose meets your tail. Once you arrive, you are ready to enjoy the glorious views from the wide open porches. Don’t look too closely though or you will be sure to see a cobweb in every corner. In addition, the coat rack as you come in the front door is broken, there are several knobs off of cabinets throughout the house, no closets in any of the bedrooms and the towel rack is missing in the master bath. To add insult to injury, the toilet in the master bath broke on our first day. We immediately called to report it, but neither Karina nor a maintenance representative ever came to check it out during our 3 day stay. Consequently, we had to use the bathroom in the guest bedroom across the hall, even in the middle of the night, which inconvenienced all parties. The house is touted as being brand new which it is NOT!They say the master bedroom is on the main level but it is NOT!
