Welcome to your true mountain oasis at Overlook Mountain Retreat!! This extraordinary, log home boasts million-dollar views and divine craftsmanship inside and out! Offering warm and comfortable living spaces that are open and spacious. The historic town of Mars Hill is just 15 minutes away, where there are shops, art galleries, restaurants and more! 20 minutes from the quaint town of Marshall, where the arts are flourishing, and a 40-minute drive to explore all of the arts, breweries and restaurants that Asheville has to offer!
As you walk in, you are greeted with a 2-story living room and a wall of windows overlooking the mountains! The floor to ceiling stone fireplace with Virginia River rock is the next detail that catches your eye. Poplar flooring throughout, with comfortable seating in the living space as well as a custom designed kitchen, equipped to make all your favorite meals.
With 3 guest rooms to choose from plus 2 more sleeping spaces, you'll have several comfortable spaces for your large group to rest. The sunroom/game room with ping pong, air hockey, pool, an arcade machine, game table and a Smart TV is located on the main level. You'll have plenty of space outside as well, including a huge front deck to soak up the views, a stone patio area with a fire pit overlooking the mountains and the coolest custom-built 16'x16' tree house. After a day of exploring, take a relaxing soak in the hot tub!With over 30 acres to explore, you'll find hiking opportunities all the way up to the 7-mile Ridge & SO MUCH MORE!

Early Check In and/or Late Check Out may be possible, depending on cleaning schedules and other reservations. If it is possible, there may be an additional fee that would be determined based on the time that you wish to check in or out and the seasonal rates.
Pets:This home and property are very dog friendly, and guests are welcome to bring their "best friends" with them. There is a non-refundable Pet Fee of $125 with a limit of 2 dogs per booking party. Please inquire with our Guest Experience Team for details and final rates.

We picked this house because it advertised it having a hot tub. We didn’t find out It was broken until we were checking in, but overall very nice house. We had a great time. We’ll definitely come back.

Yes, we saw both at this home, Great views, fantastic quite stay. This home would easily hold a large family and talk about private. Dont mind the sign that says dont enter this area, just go past that, some harmless locals. The drive is really not bad at all.

If you are looking for a place to get away from it all and reconnect with loved ones, this is the place. We chose overlook mountain retreat for our first family trip with our adult children and their significant others, and it was perfect. There was plenty of space to escape and find a few quiet moments alone when needed, yet plenty of things to do together. We had pool and video game tournaments, roasted smores at the fire pit, relaxed in the hot tub, played board games, and took little trips now and then to Marshall, Mars Hill, and Weaverville. The house was very clean and we had everything we needed in the kitchen. Be aware that the driveway is very steep. There aren’t tons of things to do in the nearby area unless you’re ok with venturing a little further to Asheville, but that was fine with us. Wonderful stay!

Beautiful views, close enough to town to do business yet far enough out to see deer daily in yard. Place was spotless with plenty of firewood. My girls and I couldn’t have enjoyed it more!
