Darling Victorian Town House by Forsyth Park

The place was beautiful and the host was amazing! Highly recommend

This is truly a great location within walking distance or short drive approx 2 miles to Broughton, River etc. Host was absolutely fantastic and responsive. Check in was easy. Master is a little noisy because it’s on the street side. But would definitely stay again. Pictures describe house beautifully

We brought our dog with a crate and it was wonderful to have a place to leave her for short periods of time. It was a beautiful home with lots of space for the 4 of us.

I have stayed at many homes through the years. Nothing is perfect. Things happen. That said I need to point out a snafu that came about that was totally preventable. I requested an early check in for the property about a week before. The host said she could possibly do this if there were no last minute bookings with their check out the day of my arrival. Understood. The day of my check in I planned accordingly since I did not hear otherwise. This was approximately a 4hr drive with an elderly member of the family that has health issues in high heat. After attempting to access the unit at the agreed upon time - I couldnt get in. So I messaged to find out why. She indicated that there was a last minute booking yesterday and we would not be able to access for several more hours. A simply courtesy note the morning of would have alleviated this. We had to shuffle and find a nearby restaurant to keep cool since it was in the mid 90s that day. We had also gone to the grocery store to buy refrigerated items that defrosted completely. Fast forward to checking in and getting settled that night and a water leak started in the attic from the air conditioning unit. The following day the repairman came but it wasnt exactly the experience i hoped to have right out the gate. My expereince has been that such circumstances would involve the appogy i got and 100-200 discount off the bill, but that didnt happen. Again, things happen but this was not an inxpensive property two nights.
