Located directly on the beach, guests have amazing unobstructed views of the Gulf of Mexico in a quiet and serene community you'll be eager to call 'home' during your trip. If you haven't been to Holiday Isle, you are in for a treat. A peninsula surrounded by The Gulf of Mexico and Destin Harbor, it is a serene, little oasis within the heart of Destin with two and a half miles of paved trails for walking and biking. Overall, the house is nice and clean. However, while we were expecting a little bit of a walk down the path to the beach, it wasn’t mentioned that you have to walk even further down the beach to get a spot. The spot at the end of the path is private and we were asked to move on down the beach after getting all set up. We texted the property contact and they said this was “odd” to be asked to move. So I’m not sure where the miscommunication lies. This long walk to the “public access” beach made it almost unbearable for my mother in law and two toddlers. Not to mention, a pontoon brings loads of people back and forth to this “private” beach area - it was quite crowded. With that said, the house is good, but we wouldn’t stay again due to the beach inconveniences.

Fairly close to water, you will get your daily steps in for sure. Beautiful location. Very tight in the back due to a fence a couple feet from property, can't get a beach buggy out. Overall we still give it a 5 star. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms clean.

Townhouse was good. Only thing is beach access. But all in all, our experience was pretty good. I would definitely recommend.

False advertisement. There is NOT a private outdoor area, even the back decks are connected from one home to the next with flimsy child gates to put up if needed.. the neighbors dog came over and peed on our deck.. the back walkway is used frequently by others as it is the only way to get to the “private beach” that you are not allowed to use after you trespass through the sand dunes..approx 1/2 mi (no trespassing/ private property signs everywhere) others come from surrounding condos with a map showing them to cut through the back walkway to get to this beach. Don’t leave the curtains open unless you want passerby’s to be able to look in. The grounds need upkeep, limbs and debree everywhere. We drove down to the boardwalk and went to the beach there.. inside was nice. Living room lacks comfortable seating for more than a couple guests. Beds were comfortable. If you have small children or older adults be aware, there are a lot of stairs.. my aunt fell the first night and broke her foot. Leave the light on in the half bath on the 2nd floor, so you can see the steps better. Carpet and tile are same color so she missed a step thinking she was on the last step. The dryer vent is not hooked up, so all the hot air blew out in the hall. The outlet in the first floor bathroom doesn’t work. Carpet on stairs could used cleaning. Parking is awful if you have more than one car. Only 2 allowed, must park in the garage, yet sign on door says 3 allowed.
