About this house rental
The Boathouse is located on a much sought-after and exclusive stretch of waterfront at Corlette. The view of the tree-dotted manicured garden reserve, beach and Port Stephens Harbour is simply divine. The picturesque white sandy beach is a calm water harbour beach, ideal for families with little ones. This splendid architecturally-designed duplex takes full advantage of its superb location. The three bedrooms and loft can sleep up to 10 adults and this fabulous beach house is just 5 minutes drive to Nelson Bay’s town centre.
The ground floor consists of the open plan living areas including a kitchen, dining room and lounge room with air-con, TV and a cosy fireplace, which all share the serene sea views, plus there’s a bathroom and a second lounge room with TV. The living areas spill out to the lawn and an undercover patio with a BBQ and outdoor dining setting. Conveniently, there’s an outdoor shower and rack to hold your paddle boards. Running parallel with the beach there’s a pathway through the peaceful, lush reserve, perfect for the kids to ride scooters or bikes along. Or, wander 100m along the path to a waterfront children’s playground and the Peppers-owned Anchorage for seaside dining or pampering yourself at the Anchorage’s renowned day spa. Alternatively, take this delightful coastal path and ride or stroll for 4 km into Nelson Bay’s town centre and famous d’Albora Marina. Dolphins are often spotted from the pretty beach and the kids are sure to relish their time exploring, swimming and playing on the beach and waterfront reserve. Bring your fishing rods, kayaks and stand-up paddle boards and make the most of this tranquil beachside locale.
The upstairs consists of three bedrooms, the loft and a shared bathroom. The palatial master bedroom with King bed has soaring curved timber ceiling, air-con, bar-fridge, TV, ensuite and a private balcony with sun loungers, seating and a birds eye view of the leafy parklands and glistening water. The second bedroom has a queen bed, ceiling fan and panel wall heater. The third bedroom has two king-single beds, a ceiling fan and panel wall heater. The loft is accessed by its own separate staircase and is comprised of a queen bed, king-single bed and a trundle suitable for a child.
The Boat House has a laundry with washer and dryer, free WiFi, a single garage and off-street parking for an additional three vehicles. Upon arrival you’ll discover the beds made and towels for your bathrooms.

ACCOMMODATES MAXIMUM 8 adults & 2 Children. The trundle can be used for a child ($50), total maximum guest 10

Additional costs when booking;
Trundle Bed: $50.00 per booking which includes linen hire and towel
Port-a-Cot $50 per booking with towel, linen and baby blanket hire.
Beach/pool towels are $8 per towel hire/ per booking.
BOND -$1500 is payable with the balance of your accommodation and is refunded 3-5 days from your departure date.
All booking guests, including Airbnb reservations, are required to complete a secure online guest agreement within 24 hours of booking. This includes providing valid photo identification (driver’s licence) and credit card verification
CANCELLATIONS - Booking Fee is not refundable ($150). Please refer to terms and conditions for full cancellation policy. Airbnb Guests please refer to Airbnb's policies.
NO NOISE - The property is in a quiet residential area which is noise sensitive. Any noise after dark that causes neighbours to complain may result in the loss of your bond.
NO VISITORS - We have a strict policy in relation to 'visitors' to the property. A fee of $500 per head will be charged if additional people are found at the property that are over and above the number of beds at the property or guests not registered.

Location - it was in a quiet area of Collette and very close to the beach. Loved how there was a grass area at the back so we set up badminton for the kids to play when they had enough time at the beach.Cleanliness of the property - well...when we got there the floors felt sticky, the was sand on the floors and in the bathrooms, there were crumbs on the dining table, chairs and the mat underneath the dinning table/area. Luckily, there was a great Miele Vacuum cleaner so we spent some time cleaning the house. We had spent about 3 hours driving and to then have to vacuum was not something we expected. Also, the bedding...maybe rotating the doonas and pillows would be something to incorportate. We thought the problem was the doona cover and pillow cases, which the property manager organised quickly. But the doona in the upstairs bedroom smelt quite bad, someone had obviously slept with the doona under their armpit. The two pillows in the master bed room did not smell any better. The rest of the residence was a bit dusty with some cobwebs.Considering the price of the accommodation I was not anticipating these problems...until I read previous reviews and it is obviously not a new problem. Besides the cleanliness issues it was a nice stay.

We are a family of four and it was the perfect location to access the beach and the surrounds of port Stephens. Plenty of space inside the home and all the facilities we needed.

We had a wonderful family weekend away at this lovely property. Its great location makes it perfect for exploring the local area. The place is well-equipped and incredibly comfortable.Our only feedback is that it’s due for a thorough clean. The shutters and windows/fly screens are particularly dirty, especially in the bedrooms. This was disappointing considering they’re where you sleep and given the price point, you’d expect them to be immaculate.
