About this house rental
House for summer holiday rental situated in Azenhas do Mar, (AL Local Lodging License 10718) 2 minutes by foot from Azenhas do Mar beach, with natural swimming pool, restaurantes and 10 minutes from Praia das Maçãs beach.
This romantic house has a very nice garden with a private swimming pool (10m x 4,20m) and an excellent view to the sea/Atlantic ocean.
It has 3 bedrooms, all of them with view towards the sea, 2 bathrooms, one with shower and one with jacuzzi.
It has a full equipped kitchen and a living and dinning room with fireplace and a lovely view to the swimming pool and to the sea. Earlier morning there are fishing boats 500 m in front of the house and you can also heard and watch the lovely gulls flying above the sea.
It is located in a very important and historical place as it was in the ancient century the summer resort of the Portuguese kings.
Surroundings: 5 Km from Colares, a demarcated wine-growing region, famous for its excellent wine, which can be tasted in “Adega Regional de Colares”. Near several others white sandy beaches like Adraga (3 Km), considered in 2003 the most beautiful beach in Europe, Praia Grande (2 Km), Aguda (1,5 Km), Magoito (4 Km) and Praia da Ursa, a naturist beach near Cabo da Roca, 4 km of distance, the westernmost point on the European continent, defined by the poet Camões as “where the land ends and the sea begins”.
In 15 km far you can find Guincho /Cascais where the world championship of windsurf is held and famous for the kyte surf. Sintra, world heritage site declared by UNESCO, is 10 Km far from and has historic monuments like Moorish Castle, Monastery of Capuchos, Monserrate Palace, National Palace, Pena Palace, Quinta da Regaleira, Seteais Palace and fabulous botanical gardens. Robert Southey, English poet describes Sintra as the most bless, spot on the whole inhabitable globe .

Being a private garden and pool, the children felt free to play and make noise.
The kitchen was incredible. It had everything we ever needed and we mostly ate at ‘home’.
Some of the bed mattresses were a little tired but the pillows were great.

The property was ideal for what we booked. The garden was enclosed and safe for the small children, the property was immaculately clean and there were many unexpected extras that were available that avoided unnecessary purchases. We would probably have benefited from a hire car to get to places to visit but use of Ubers and taxis were easily acquired. Local shops and restaurants enabled us to eat out and cook some meals at the villa. There were also take out meal facilities that we didn't use but of which we were made aware.

Great location, 10 min walk to the beach, sidewalks are lacking though.
Great host, she was on time and very friendly. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

This place could not have been more perfect. We booked to attend a friends wedding in the area & were apprehensive taking 2 small children. I mentioned this to the owner who not only provided baby beds, high chairs & a bath, but also made the effort to fully stock the villa with children’s toys, towels & blankets that you would not expect from a rented property. The villa had absolutely everything you need to self cater your holiday but was also just a 10 minute walk away from lovely restaurants and the beach. The outside area of the house became the meeting point for our friends whilst away as the pool & bbq area are so spacious and comfortable.
