About this house rental
Just 4 miles from acres of walk-in hunting land, right between 2 of Kansas’s best fishing lakes, Kanopolis Lake and Wilson Lake, the clearest lake in Kansas. A great Mexican restaurant across the street (close at 2:00pm Sunday, closed Monday, cash or check only, no cards), 2 bars in town and a gas/convenience store just a half of a block away to meet your needs. Numerous other eating places, liquor store & grocery store just 4 miles away. Visit the local Fort Harker Museum. Walk the same floorboards that General Custer, General Sherman & Buffalo Bill Hickok walked. Check out the Kanopolis Drive-In during the summer months!

This property is one of the best places I've stayed. The great reviews by everyone that has stayed here before are spot on. The host was thoughtful and added so many extras that don't go unnoticed. There were historic pictures, and other unique decorations. There is a dual coffee maker that brews grounds and Kcups. There are both types of coffee supplied, along with to-go coffee cups, several different types of sweeteners, and creamers. Several things are labeled, like which way to turn the faucet to get hot and cold water, the phone charger, and about the tankless water heater. The air conditioning works great, and it must be well insulated, because we were there on July 3rd, and the town sounded like a war zone with fireworks, but I had no trouble getting a good night's sleep. There were plenty of extra towels and blankets. The location was perfect, right on main street and directly across from a restaurant that serves breakfast. If I'm ever in need of a place to stay in the area again, I hope this place is available!

When Mother Nature had other plans, the host was quick to let us know about the weather and worked with us. Can’t say enough good things about that!
