About this cabin rental
Summary:
Luxurious cabin in perfect peaceful location with numerous games and amenities. Wide open spaces and large private suites will allow you to enjoy your time alone or with the family. Wide secure decks, indoor and outdoor fireplaces, jacuzzi, theatre room, game room, BBQ, outdoor firepit this cabin has it all. Close to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and the entrance of the park. Come and stay with us ! (Swimming Pool and Fishing Pond access! (May to Sept) We allow 2 dogs with an additional fee (contact us for rules)
The Space:
The main open space combines the kitchen, dining area, living room and fireplace for all to enjoy their time together.
The outside deck is providing a peaceful immersion into the surrounding and environment.
The second deck has a jacuzzi, outdoor sitting as well as a gas fireplace.
On the main level you will find a first master suite with king bed, HD TV, walk-in closet and private bathroom.
The second level has two master suites with king bed, HD TVs, walk in closets and private bathroom.
Each master suite on the second level also has a trundle bed offering 2 additional bed (twin size) which is perfect for kids to share a room with their parents if necessary.
On the lower level, the garage has been converted to a game room with a pool table and a ping pong table. This is also where you will have the private movie theater room with its large comfortable chairs and large screen HD TV. (Garage access is through outdoor staircase)
There is a great deal of space outside the cabin as well
Guest Access:
Guests are provided with a door code two days prior to check in.
The Neighborhood:
Wears Valley is ideally located for easy access to the national park and trails. If you prefer to catch a show or go shopping to Pigeon Forge and visit Dollywood you are less than 30 minutes away.
Feeling like visiting Gatlinburg? the city center is also less than 30 minutes away.
Regarding parking, there is plenty of space under a covered porch just outside the main entrance, which can even accommodate large SUV and trucks (No RV)
Last, it is really easy to access the property through flat paved roads.

less than 30 mn to Smoky Mountain National Parks
Other Things to Note:
★ ACCESS ★
- Although it is not mandatory to have a 4 wheel drive we do recommend our guests to have one in the winter only. The road is paved all the way but the last 3 turns are steeper than the rest of the road.
- We do recommend people to do their main grocery shopping in Pigeon Forge or on their way. There are stores around but nothing like a major chain within 20 minutes.
★ SWIMMING POOL and POND ACCESS ★
Guest will be given access to the large pool and fishing pond at the Honeysuckle park in Wears Valley to enjoy with the family from May to Labor day
★ STARTER KITS ★
We do supply a starter kit including bar soap, liquid dish soap, dish tabs for dishwasher, toilet paper, laundry pod and paper towels. This will prevent you to have to go to the store the first night but plan to buy more so you are covered during the full length of your stay.
★ CLEANING & SANITIZATION ★
Health, safety, and well-being of our guests are of utmost importance. For this reason, we use a thorough cleaning process after each check-out.
★ PETS ALLOWED ★
We love those little (and not so little) furry bundles of joy. (Contact us about the additional fees)
★ NO SMOKING INSIDE ★
Please refrain from smoking inside the home! Any smoking evidence will result in odor removal and furniture cleaning fees.
★ NO PARTIES/EVENTS ★
We kindly ask you to treat our home as your own to preserve its pristine condition for future guests and your return visits.

As parents, we know that traveling with the kiddos requires additional luggage. To simplify your stay, we have a pack and play and a high chair for your convenience.
★ NATURE ★
Being in nature means you may encounter some wildlife. Inside the cabin, you might see some harmless insects despite our regular pest control process. They sometimes make their way in between cleans but rest assured that the place is treated regularly. Also, if you are lucky enough to spot any bears, raccoons, turkeys, or mice outside, please keep them there! They are all attracted to the smell of cooking food and garbage. We highly recommend you don't invite them to dinner and DO NOT FEED THEM.
★ FIREPLACE ★
Fireplace is off from April 1st to September 30th.
★ TV and WIFI ★
The cabin offers WIFI in all areas. TV has access to various streaming platforms including Netflix. Guests can log into their accounts.

Wonderful, cozy cabin perfect for our family Christmas trip! The location is great! Close enough to major atttactions but tucked far enough away to still feel private. Check-in process was a breeze. Kitchen was well-equipped for meals. Bedrooms were spacious and comfortable. Mattresses seemed to be newer. Our host, Jean was so kind and quick to respond to any messages. We would definitely stay here again.

The hosts were fantastic - so welcoming and quick with responses. The house was beautiful and comfortable, the beds are firm foam and VERY comfortable. The little welcoming touches all around the house made our stay perfect!

We had a great stay at the Cozy Bear cabin. Great location, very clean, and everything to offer. The back porch with the fireplace was our favorite gathering place, while our boys loved the hot tub and downstairs game room. Would highly recommend.

I will start by giving the home credit where it is due.. the home was clean, updated, and absolutely beautiful. I would say these home owners care about their home’s maintenance, and their guests stay. On the other hand, I will say that when we vacation there are certain things that we Need during our stay. We took this into consideration when booking.
Advertised were the entertainment options.. Please note there was not a basketball goal as pictured. There are not stairs to the basement/entertainment area from inside. This posed an issue to us as we had a mother and six month old, a six year old, a thirteen and fourteen year old, and two miniature dogs. We were in an unfamiliar area for a beautiful wildlife experience.. that experience did not include our children potentially facing that wildlife in order to go to the theatre room/games. We did not use this area.
The house projects itself to be a private area to enjoy the smoky mountains. There are two neighbors watching from the front deck. There is a shared driveway with a shared gate, and a camera posted to the tree. There was a neighbor with many windows facing the back deck. Which aligns directly with the hot tub. This home uses a ring doorbell- I get it!
But we choose not to rent from houses with cameras with our own reasons. Simply put, if an updated, informative description were in place I wouldn’t have rented. I was disappointed for that reason alone. Until I almost got accused of bear damage from a third party…
