Or head to town and enjoy fabulous restaurants, adorable shops, learn about historic Galena, or hike with goats! So many wonderful options to enjoy around the home! You will also have access to Lake Galena (boating and fishing lights)

-Deck has nice seating, cooler, and views of the woods. We also have an outdoor firepit, surrounded by woods (wood provided)
- Approx 500 ft from nearest neighbor (minimal visibility when leaves on trees, more in winter)

-Smart TV (no cable) to stream

Bedrooms:
-First bedroom has a queen bed and an attached bathroom. This bathroom includes a Japanese soaking tub (large enough for most adults) and shower. New memory foam mattresses in both bedrooms.
-Second bedroom has a king bed. Second bathroom is across the hall and includes shower/tub.
-Both bedrooms with smart TVs
Kitchen:
-Kitchen is small but very functional- stove/oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer with icemaker
- Full sets of dishes, pots, pans, silverware, etc. Home has coffee pot (percolator and drip coffee maker).
- Cotton Candy Maker
- Coffee- Percolator and Drip coffee maker
-Wifi is fiber and can easily stream on multiple devices/video conferencing etc

Location:
- 5 min from Owner's Club (pool, gym, etc)
- 10 min from wineries
- 15-20 min from downtown Galena
- 20 min from Chestnut Mountain
- 10 min from hiking with goats/goat yoga

This home (we think :)) is awesome but may not be for everyone.
- There is an approx 100 yrd walk down a sloped, paved path from where you park to the home. From there you walk up 7-8 steps to the home. We can't guarantee in winter it will be shoveled.
-Also, this home has a spiral staircase to get to the lower level of the home, where the hot tub is located. The staircase is not suitable for young children, and there are wide gaps between rails that a child could squeeze through. (Our older kids (7 and up) love the home, but please be aware of this before booking). You can alternatively walk to the hot tub from the path in front of the home if you wish to avoid the stairs.
We do have a security camera (audio and visual) that faces front of the house down the path/stairs up house.
No smoking of any kind allowed on the property
The house is surrounded in woods. Expect some bugs outside and occasionally inside.
Just being honest- property is not perfect but we LOVE being there ;)
Dogs are welcome if well behaved. Extra pet fee will apply. $65 fee for dogs. Must be well trained. No cats please (family member with allergy)

You will have the entire house other than small locked owners closet.
We are family owned home. We will share our cell phone upon booking in case issues arise.
There isn’t easy public transportation so you will need a car. Uber is only sometimes available.
There is plenty of free parking.
We do not give refunds due to weather. We strongly encourage everyone to buy travel insurance.

We loved our stay here! The mid-century decor was so fun! There were so many cool little details to discover. Plus, the location was phenomenal! It was so private, and surrounded by trees and wildlife. We even saw a baby deer when we arrived. The hot tub was a great way to end a busy day, or to start one. And the Japanese soaking tub was a pretty neat experience as well. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need, but not much space for storing non-refrigerated food that you bring. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash and a hair dryer were provided in each bathroom. We were within 15-20 minutes of anywhere we wanted to go... shopping, restaurants, magic show, tours, pontoon rental, and the Alpine Slide. The fireplace was nice to relax around while playing games after a cool, rainy day out and about. Next time, I'd love to spend more time at the house enjoying nature while in the hot tub, or sitting by the fire pit.

The house was the perfect size for the two of us and our dogs. It felt very private and was well kept.One note is the house is on an unpaved street, which made it difficult to go out walking on our trip as it rained a lot and even when it wasn’t the road was very muddy. Can’t control the weather though!

This place has many unique features. You can tell they spent time with all the little details like land line phones, glassware, and art. Overall cozy spot but has everything you need. I really enjoyed the fire pit and privacy. Lots of beautiful trees on the property and plenty of birds to see. Owner was a pleasure to correspond with. I would highly recommend this place for couples and families looking for a Galena getaway. Also Downtown Galena is fantastic! 10 to 15 min drive from the property.

The hosts are amazing. Great communication and they really want you to experience a great stay. The house was just like the photos which isn’t always the case. The views were better than advertised and the beds are really comfortable. The kitchen is small but has everything you need. This is a great unusual escape.
