The cozy main floor offers a living room, kitchen, a half bath and laundry. Kitchen is complete with dishwasher, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, and oven.

Sleep comfortably in the king size bed at the top floor private, loft-like main bedroom with walk-in closet and spacious on-suite complete with a whirlpool tub and separate shower. Guests can also enjoy the Signal Hill and ocean views from the second floor bedroom and Queen size bed. Have more friends coming to stay? We have you covered with an additional third bedroom and double bed!

There are two and a half bathrooms. One with a relaxing large whirlpool tub and shower. Second floor bathroom has a large soaker tub-shower. Main floor has a washroom and laundry attached.

You’ll have control over the heating. Facilitated with a TV. You will have access to a washer and dryer in the home and can park your car with a permit just out front. This place is great for anyone come from away looking to take in the traditional St. John’s jellybean row living, a true “home away from home”. Relax with reliable guest communication

Just a few doors down are several grocery/convenience stores, including Food for Thought and Halliday’s Meats, both on Gower Street. Moo Moos Ice Cream and Coffee Matters are also a short walking distance and on King’s Road.

Parking is with one Parking Pass and usually parking just out front is available. If there is another vehicle, there is free parking just out front on the odd side of Pilots Hill.
Snow removal is the responsibility of the guest if snowing during their stay. We try our best to have the snow removed before check-in.

An excellent location for walking from, and for taking road trips. The home was well-appointed with all that we needed for comfort and convenience. We were a party of six (3 couples), and had plenty of space. Beds were large and comfy.

We stayed in Blue Jelly Bean for 9 nights in July 2025. We were in Newfoundland for a 50th wedding anniversary celebration (Irish groom, Newfoundland bride), so family members from all over converged on St. John’s. Blue Jelly Bean is in a wonderful location, within very easy walk of downtown shops, restaurants etc.The house is superb. There’s a really well equipped eat-in kitchen (table for 6 – 8), bright sitting room, downstairs wc, massive clothes washer and dryer. There’s a small area outside with seating for 4, but it is very enclosed and doesn’t get much sunshine, so we didn’t use it except to dry clothes. There’s plenty of storage downstairs for coats, shoes etc and plenty of closet space in all 3 bedrooms.There are 2 good bedrooms on the first floor (one king sized bed, one queen), plus a bathroom with bath tub with overhead fixed shower head. On the top floor there’s a huge master suite, with king sized bed, walk in dressing area and a bathroom with a huge spa bath and a very good walk-in shower. There’s also an air conditioning unit in this bedroom. All the beds are very comfortable. Water pressure in both showers is excellent.David and his team provided friendly and prompt support, both before and during our stay. The few minor problems we encountered were dealt with remarkably swiftly.We thoroughly recommend this property.
