About this villa rental
A combination of elegance, comfort and elements of traditional beauty, Kerithra and Melissi villas welcome you to your dream vacation.
It is ideal for couples and families with up to two children.
Kerithra Villa is comprised of 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom and open plan kitchen/dining/living area, leading directly to the outdoor area where our guests will find a swimming pool, a barbeque area and sunbeds for lounging. This villa accommodates 2 adults and also 2 children as there is a sofa which can convert into a bed which sleeps 2. There is also a cot for babies.
There is parking space to accommodate one car. It must also be noted that this villa is surrounded by greenery for privacy. The view from the outdoor area is absolutely magical.
Melissi and Kerithra Villas are located at a mere 800 meters from Vasiliki and the beach. There are also many cafes, restaurants, bars and other amenities such as super markets, a pharmacy, ATM, bakeries, etc.
Vasiliki is a world famous spot for wind and kite surfing as the weather conditions are ideal for these sports. If our guests don't have the equipment, no worries as there is rental available.
Tips for a fun filed holiday!
Daily cruises which depart from Nidri to nearby islands such as 'Scorpios', 'Meganisi', 'Ithaca' and 'Kefalonia'.
Observing or taking part in paragliding in 'Exanthia' village from the popular 'Rachi' restaurant or 'Fly me' bar where you can enjoy your meal or drink. How about staying a little longer to observe the orange drenched sun go down.
It's certainly advisable to visit the blue flag beaches such as 'Mylos' , 'Kathisma', 'Porto Katsiki' , 'Kavalikefta' and 'Egremni' beaches along the west coast of the island. Definitely impressive to say the least!
Kite and wind surf 'buffs' are able to enjoy their beloved sport at 'Agios Ioannis' beach or 'Vasiliki' bay where the weather conditions are ideal.
It is also well worth visiting the waterfall in 'Nidri'.
While you are holidaying here you ought to try traditional Greek cuisine at the many waterfront tavernas scattered along the coastal villages.
There are also many traditional cafes in the small villages where time seems to be at a standstill. Why not stop and observe village life first hand!
For a more hip hop and happening setup, there are plenty of bars / cocktail bars / clubs in Lefkas town, 'Agios Nikitas' , 'Nidri'and 'Vasiliki'.
For the more adventure seeking souls there are an array of activities from water sports, sailing, mountain biking, hiking, paragliding, horse riding, snorkeling, scuba diving, fishing, kite and wind surfing.

The villa was as shown in the photos and the views and pool were excellent. The villa inside was adequate but not deluxe. There was an led light over the entrance door that never went out so always illuminated the villa I am glad that I didnt have to sleep in the living area. The bed was comfortable but a little large for the room, there was only a small width either side of the bed. Bed was a good size so not sure what the answer is!
Now the downside!
The directions given were excellent but once you turn off the main road there is a really steep and unkempt road to the villa. This meant that our hire car was only able to negotiate this road in first gear and the sound of the underside scrapping on the road surface was a little worrying. This also meant that the only way to get to the village and eat at the many restaurants was to drive, there is no way that you could walk down and more importantly walk back in the dark. This meant drinking at the restaurants was limited. A real shame when one is on holiday.
Would I recommend the villa, would I return|? The answer has to be no. A real shame because it could be wonderful.

The villa was spotlessly clean on arrival and we were greeted in person by the housekeeper. The pool, facilities and space were all lovely and the kitchen was incredibly well equipped. The location above the town gave a great view of the action although the steep and bumpy access track meant we felt safer driving into town than walking and a car with more ground clearance is favourable.

We spent 2 weeks in this wonderful villa at the beginning of June. This is certainly the best time to travel if you love the blossoming nature and like it a bit more untouristy. The villa is situated on a hillside, about 1 km from the centre of Vasiliki. There is a well-stocked supermarket in the immediate vicinity.
When Vasiliki has long been in the shade, there is still wonderful sunshine at the pool and on the terrace of this villa.
The unobtrusive service of Xrisoula and her team (bed linen and towels were changed twice a week and the pool was cleaned weekly) and the very pleasant contact with Dimitris, who managed the whole thing professionally, should be emphasised.
On arrival there was a basic supply of spices, coffee, toilet paper, washing up liquid etc. as well as a delicious bottle of wine and 2 bottles of water. We appreciated that very much.
Should Lefkada be our holiday destination again, this villa will certainly be it too.
