Welcome to A Wave From It All! This spacious and perfectly suited East Beach cottage with a private pool is located exactly where you will want to be for your visit to St. Simons Island. Located between 2nd Street and 3rd Street, the cottage is a very short and easy walk to multiple beach access points (0.2 miles to the beach access at the Coast Guard, as well as on 3rd St). This island cottage has multiple living spaces for visitors to enjoy both inside and out!
Guest reservations of 3 to 21 nights come with a valuable credit to use towards beach gear rentals during your stay! The credit amount of $50/night is included in each reservation. You may use your credit for bicycles, beach chairs and umbrellas, beach carts, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, and even experiences with select vendors! – The choice is yours!

The fully-stocked custom chef's kitchen features a huge island with bar seating, a Wolf range, a large pantry area, an open living floor plan to the large dining room, and so much more!
Kick back and relax in one of two living rooms while enjoying a movie or a game. The front living room features plenty of seating with comfortable sofas and chairs, with a large HD TV. The rear den space has a fun decor with leather movie theater seating surrounding a large HD TV, DVD Player, and sound system for playing all of your favorite tunes! One of the owner's favorite spaces is the large screened porch with sofas and a dining table for eight, which overlooks the private pool area. For added convenience during your stay, the home also features a dedicated laundry room, making it easy to keep everything fresh and ready for your vacation adventures.
The private pool (14x19), which can be heated ($75/night) upon request, is the perfect place to relax after a long day at the beach. Enjoy a friendly game of putt-putt on the new putting green installed in 2026 The gas grill is ready to prepare family meals with your fresh catch of the day. Don't miss the convenient outdoor shower to wash off after a fun day at the beach. The front yard features an amazing sitting area with a gas fire pit and plenty of seating, perfect for chilling out after a long day on the beach.
Entering the main level Primary Bedroom Suite is ... just sweet! The spacious bedroom has a king bed with wide sliding glass doors, allowing guests to enter the screened porch space directly from the bedroom. The large walk-in closet can easily fit a pack n play (pack and play not provided) for young children. The Primary Bathroom is exceptionally decorated, featuring a large walk-in shower with multiple shower heads, a private water closet, and a double vanity.
The second level offers four additional guest bedrooms. The first bedroom is considered a Second Primary Bedroom Suite. Overlooking the pool area, this wonderful escape offers a king bed, a seating area, a large HD TV, and an en suite bathroom with a shower. The second bedroom also has a king bed with an en suite bathroom featuring a tub/shower as well as hallway access. Bedrooms 3 and 4 are both bunk suites, each offering a double bed with a twin bunk bed above. One of the bunk rooms has its own en suite bathroom with a tub/shower, while the second bunk room shares the hall bath with the second king bedroom upstairs.

You cannot beat the location of this property. My family and I were only a 10 min golf cart ride to anywhere we wanted to be on the island. East Beach is just steps away and we fully utilized the owner’s boogie boards. The pool was warm and clean, and the house provides plenty of beach towels. You won’t regret staying at the house!

There were definitely things to like in this new feeling large home with a great location near the beach. The very large screened in porch had a large seating area and a dining area. The bedrooms were spacious enough and beds comfortable. The bathrooms all new and attractive. However, the master bath had an excessive amount of space where a bathtub could have sat in addition to a huge shower stall. The beach wagon with fat tires was a real treat as were the beach towels.
My personal issues however with this house would keep me from renting it again especially considering the price. There is virtually no noise insulation anywhere. Hard surfaces and an open floor plan do not allow for sound absorption. The noise coming from upstairs (just while people were walking around) and in the kitchen was more than noticeable when sleeping or resting in the master bedroom on the main floor. Perhaps a few rugs upstairs and in the master bedroom would help some of this. TV's in every bedroom and every living space even in the porch if you are into that. Also, although the kitchen boasts a Wolf range this property could not be defined as a cook's kitchen. It had an odd assortment of cookware and utensils and dishes. Small cheap utensils and the pots and pans were limited to a few small and medium ones. No large frying pan yet two gigantic stock pots. To sleep as many as this property does there were only two wine glasses and two tall footed ice tea glasses (and one martini glass?) in different styles. Enough large drinking glasses but approximately 6 plastic cups of differing sizes to use. It appeared that there had been more because they did all match. These would have been great for the pool area.
The many side by side recliners in one of the two main floor family rooms were , well just meh. Because of the open floor plan it was not easy to use the two different family rooms simultaneously. The sound traveled directly through the dining room into not only the other family room but also into the kitchen.
This property although close to the beach with a nice large screened porch and small pool left me longing for a cozier less sleek place to stay, with less of a designer feel and more old fashioned comfort especially for the price.
