We loved the condo, it is adorable! Location is fabulous! Off the street parking is an amazing selling point! Needed, and appreciated! The amenities are welcoming. These details make life so much easier knowing our hosts have taken care of everything. The nightlight in the bathroom for example, is a touch which we were pleasantly surprised with. Highly recommended! Thank you for everything.

This recently remodeled studio was clean and comfortable. The ideal location for access to quiet beaches on either the bayside or Oceanside. The ideal visitor is either a couple or an individual who loves beach life and really just needs a comfortable place to crash each night and hang out for a few home cooked meals between excursions throughout the day. There’s a lot to do in Mission and all up the coast from here. Another good feature is that this place is far removed from the loud and crowded masses that hit the beach up nearer to Belmont. They don’t generally come this far south.The host is great and communicated effectively prior to and during our stay.We will stay here again next summer!

The property was very clean and cozy. It was stocked with everything we needed. We appreciated the sunscreen, shower toiletries, beach bag, chairs, basketball and smash ball set. It is just how it looks in the photos. Loved how close it was to the beach for the price, which is why we picked it! It is located in a nice, quiet neighborhood. There is a market and liquor store nearby. The hosts are easy to communicate with and responsive. We would definitely stay there again. Note that the refundable deposit posts right after you confirm your reservation, and it takes awhile for it to be refunded. I understand the need for it, but it is a bummer to get charged interest before it gets refunded.

The location is excellent and the neighborhood is great. The condo is only as good as your neighbors. The majority of the time they were great except the one night they came home at 2:30 and kept us up until 4 AM. Problem- it’s a studio apartment and not a one bedroom that we thought we had booked. I also had been in touch with the owner about the hot tub that was supposed to be there, but wasn’t. Not sure what happened there. The hot water was nonexistent as well.

This was my first time traveling and lodging alone, and I picked a perfect place! I was nervous about staying alone initially, and brought a portable lock, but I didn't end up using it as there were two locks on the door and it felt very secure! The blinds are a bit finicky but overall, it's such a lovely place for a solo traveler or couple. Such a great property with everything I needed for my long weekend away from home. I didn't rent a car and really wanted the full experience of walking around and feeling immersed. So many great places to eat and coffee shops in South Mission. The boardwalk was only a bit farther and has a ton do see and do! Not too far from the nearest bus stop either. Got to enjoy the water and peacefulness after a busy day out. Would definitely come back here.

This may be a great place to stay in the summer months but when the weather is a bit cooler in fall/winter do not expect a lot of hot water in shower or kitchen. Water pressure was also very limited. Also, the freezer could not be used as drawers were broke. However, the place was clean and quaint. TV channel availability and use is very limited but who is in SD to watch TV? Given the above negatives we still recommend based on beach location, cleanliness and price.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. The apartment was cozy and clean. It had all the amenities we needed. Close to the beach for evening walks and we found it to be close to all of the tourist sites we were visiting. Unfortunately our parking stall was really tight and the selection of of tv channels was not great. In the grand scheme of things, these were minor issues.

Host responsive to communication. Nice to have parking spot. You can walk easily to the south Mission Beach or to the bay side. We watched the Sea World fireworks from the bay a couple nights. Pizza, tacos, and coffee with-in walking distance. It was me and my young adult daughter. We felt save walking and staying in this area. Would go back if we can some time.

The property was perfect for just the two of us. The owners were so nice letting us know it was ready if we wanted to check in early. The property is located further down Mission Blvd and surrounded by lots of owner occupied houses so very quiet at night (no party crowd lol).

Location is perfect! Right between 2 great beaches for our toddler! Loved the use of the chairs and umbrella! Only downside of the property was the minimal kitchen supplies. Also, we were under the impression this was a one bedroom, but realistically it was a studio. Worked fine for our family of 3! Thanks!

Looked exactly like description. Very cute and clean. Would recommend. Pros: clean and close to beach. The added beach chairs to take to the sand were a nice extra. Also an umbrella for the sun. Not excessive in the amount of leftovers by past renters. Like expired food and seasoning left in cupboards which was nice. The Jetty at the end of the island was nice to watch surfing at sunset. Even had beach fires to warm up after getting splashed. It's about a 17 minute walk or 1 mile to Belmont park. So you're away from all the traffic but close enough to walk or drive. There are a couple restaurants and markets and 2 bars in between. Cons: I messaged the host about extending my stay by 1 night all I got in response was an automated reply about directions and restaurants in the area. When I received my code for the door it was addressed to a name that wasn't mine. Kinda weird but I was still able to check in. A broom to use would've been nice. No matter how much you try to get sand off there's always some left. You could feel it on the floor. Extra set of towels would be nice. A 4 day stay with one set of nice bath towels was kinda pushing it. There were extra flimsy and cheap white towels in a cupboard but not nice like the original bath towels. And the bathroom vanity is very small. No room to get ready with. Overall it was a great stay. We had an absolute blast and enjoyed the condo very much.

The location is at the end of Mission Blvd where it's quiter. It was an easy walk to the beach with the provided chairs, etc. It was great to have private parking because you can't find parking on the street. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Nice little studio condo within a short walk from Mission Beach. The parking spaces at this complex are rather small and tight. Communication with the owners to check-in was good. The original door code did not work. Some of the cable tv channels (mainly sports channels) did not work after the first night, not sure if subscription ran out. Luckily, I had my laptop and watched YouTube TV via the wifi. No grocery stores or nice restaurants nearby so we just ordered via DoorDash or Grubhub.

This studio condo must have been fully remodeled in recent years. It is very nice, new and clean. There is none of the usual wear-and-tear, dust, mold, decline of a beachy rental. It was the perfect space and size for my husband and I. We have stayed in several of the nice resort hotels in this area and this studio is a much better deal. It has a full size kitchen and plenty of space to eat, read, watch tv on the big-screen. I wish we had discovered this spot earlier and not wasted extra money on cramped hotel rooms and too many restaurant meals. 2 more positives -- 1. There is very little street noise. 2. There is A/C. We have stayed in and looked at other residential rentals in this area and often there is no A/C, which can be rough in So-Cal.

This was my first time visiting San Diego and this condo was in the perfect location. Everything was 15 to 20 minutes away especially the major attractions. Most of all Karena was the best property owner I've ever had. She was very helpful throughout the entire process of booking to getting the condo ready. She also provided very good recommendations on places to see and eat at! I highly recommend this property if you want a great beach location and close to everything along with a very helpful property owner.

Especially since I was sick through most of our stay in San Diego, it was comforting to have a very comfortable bed with big pillows to hug. The location was perfect for us to take a short walk along the beach as well as to get to Balboa Park and the zoo. Other than not find a baking sheet in the kitchen, we felt it was well equipped. Should we venture to San Diego again, we would attempt to rent this VRBO once again.

Condo was as good as advertised. Nicely furnished, modern appointments, clean and near the beach and bike paths. I'm glad it was at the end of Mission Bay as our visit was during President's Day and the upper part of the community was very crowded and noisy. We biked daily, walked a bit, explored surrounding areas and relaxed. Might not be suitable for all as we were on 2nd floor. All in all a good value and worth returning.

Wonderful cozy studio/condo. Excellent communication with the owner! Close to downtown Belmont Park. Walking distance to the ocean, good food and attractions. Loved being able to cook dinner and breakfast. All necessities were available inside the studio/condo. Very pleased and can’t wait to stay there again!

What a great, perfect little place to spend a holiday with one or two of your closest friends. So glad we did this instead of a hotel or another, busier area of town. This place is right on the beach. Lovely little beach town vibe in this area. I wished we had more time to relax and enjoy - but it was a lovely, relaxing weekend. This place is a studio - so no more than 3 people makes sense. But it is absolutely ideal for two or three people total. It's got a comfy queen bed and another single sofa/day-bed. It is very clean with all the comforts of home. Also has a dedicated parking space! Highly recommended.

Just back from 5 wonderful days with my husband in San Diego and this place could not have been more perfect for the 2 of us. First, it is very clean, perfectly outfitted, ideally located and very nicely decorated. Add to that a parking place and AC, if you need it, and it has all of the ingredients for a perfect stay. The location is ideal in the quiet Mission Beach neighborhood, steps from the beach, a nice walk to food and drink and easily accessible to all kinds of day trips to incredible places in and north of San Diego. This is my first pick for my next trip to San Diego. Thank you to Karena for being very responsive and helpful before and during our stay.
