Overall everything was good. This is a very old, crooked, and uneven house. Some may not see the charm in slanted floors, doors, and cracked walls. Just understand this going in. Pros: Kitchen is very well stocked. Extra bathroom items like shower gel and plenty of TP are provided. Large rooms with individual bathrooms. Large dining areas with plenty of games and books. Beds were very comfortable and there were plenty of pillows. Cons: The water is mineral and metal tasting. Bring your own drinking water if you are not used to iron, sulfur and copper tastes. Not a con for some, but literally everything is crooked and uneven. Be careful of floor nails and splinters. I would not recommend bare feet in the house. We ended up with some splinters and torn socks. Overall the space worked well and we enjoyed our stay. Just go buy water and step carefully!

We reserved on short notice and stayed at this wonderful property for a funeral at the Coast Guard Academy. Property manager was very responsive and worked with us to ensure the property was available for early check-in after an all night flight. Approximately 20 minutes to the Academy, shorter to Groton or the aquarium and historic Mystic. Peaceful and off the beaten path, easily accommodated 4 couples, 2 singles, 4 kids/grandkids, 1 toddler, and 1 infant. It never felt crowded and we could all sit around the table. The grounds are great to relax, run, play, or peacefully reflect. Super easy in and out. Core building was built around 1740 according to the sign. Very clean, but being so old some walls aren't quite plumb, some doors aren't quite square, some floors may be a little sloped, but absolutely LOVED the unique and authentic charm. Bittersweet because of our circumstances, but we would definitely stay here again with a large group.

We rented this house for a family reunion recently. Place is great! Definitely an antique farmhouse and it has that level of charm. The property is beautiful and it fit our needs for a weekend stay. Communicating with the property manager was easy as well. That said we were not impressed with the level of cleanliness upon our arrival, as it was clear that the cleaning crew did not do a thorough job. I messaged the property manager our observations after our stay and they seemed very appreciative of the feedback; hopefully future renters will reap the benefits of that conversation.
