New POOL ! Great location 2 Bedroom - West Bay - Flip Flop Villa!

This is our second stay. We highly recommend it.

Had everything we needed. Loved the location and amenities. Everything worked great. The area seemed safe and was quiet. And the pool! Loved it. Would stay again.

The Flip Flop Villa is a mellow spot uphill from the beach . It was spotlessly clean, well maintained and well appointed for cooking and chilling out. Beds super comfy. AC good and lots of fans. WiFi fast. The trees and location provide some welcome shade. Manny, the manager was quick to respond to questions and had helpful information. The neighborhood is quiet and a welcome change from the happenings in West Bay and West end which can be reached in a short water taxi ride or walked in 15-20 min. The only thing I would bring up is that it is located up on a ridge with a rather steep up and down to get to/from the beach which could be a challenge for anyone with mobility issues. Also would recommend you use the driver Manny recommends unless your Spanish is good - uniformly the taxi drivers in Roatan seem to have difficulty finding anything but the most well known locations as there are no addresses.

We had a wonderful time at the Flip Flop Villa. It was me, my husband, my uncle and his girlfriend. This was our 8th year visiting Roatan. We absolutely love the island and go to dive. We dive with Clearwater Adventures which is just a 5-minute walk from the house. I highly recommend diving with Clearwater if you are visiting Roatan. The house we used to stay in is no longer available for rent so we had to find a new place this year and we were not disappointed. There are only 2 things that I would change about Flip Flop Villa, one was that the walls between the bedrooms and bathrooms are quite thin so there was very little privacy regarding sounds. The other thing was that the kitchen could be a bit more stocked with larger pots and food storage containers. We buy groceries and cook most of our meals so this is important to us. We like to make a large pot of beans and rice and eat on for the week. These are very minor suggestions and probably not an issue for most travelers. We were able to make due by being creative, so absolutely not a deal-breaker. The beds were very comfortable as well as the living room furniture. The home was spotless when we arrived. The house is beautifully decorated. The screened-in porch with the hammock was where we spent most of our time between dives and was so nice to be able to sit in the shade and not be eaten alive by mosquitos. The outdoor chairs were comfy and plentiful. We enjoyed watching the macaws fly overhead several times per day. This house is fantastic if you love birds as I do. The porch faces several trees which were active with birds and we also enjoyed watching the fireflies at night. Manny (the manager) was so helpful before and during the trip. He is very quick to respond and was able to fulfill any request I made. The owners happened to be upstairs in the studio while we were there and they were so very friendly. We really enjoyed visiting with them throughout the 10 days. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning next year, hopefully to the 3rd floor that is currently under construction. Also, Manny was mindful of our relaxation time and made sure there were no loud construction noises while we were at the house.
