About this apartment rental
Since we live out for some time, we rent our own one-story home, which is very important to us. We christened it "Chiemsee Apart" and with great attention to detail turned into two large holiday apartments.
Chiemsee Apart is centrally located to the center of Prien and at the same time very quiet in the Bavarian Alps. It offers the proximity to the Chiemsee and the mountains. A few meters behind the house is a landscape protection area, which leads directly to the lake. The Chiemsee is only a 10-minute drive away. Here you will find relaxation from everyday life.
The apartment on the ground floor we have "garden view" baptized. From the huge south-facing windows of this apartment you look into the lush green garden but also on the huge mountain massif of the Kampenwand. The apartment "Gartenblick" offers 111 square meters (plus about 30 square meters sun terrace) plenty of space for couples but also for families with 2 - 3 children. On the Sonnenterrasse, you can use our comfortable Echtholz-Gartenmöbel, our deckchairs, the Weber-Grill and the fire-place for romantic evenings in the open. We even used our terrace at the first sunbeam at every meal. The terrace can only be used by guests of the apartment "garden view"!
Our dwelling is timeless and designed in colors, shapes and materials in accordance with Feng Shui harmony teaching. You will surely feel comfortable. The apartment has a spacious living-dining area, a cozy living area with 2 sofas and TV. Sleeping possibilities are in the large bedroom with double bed (180 x 220 m) and in the small bedroom with bunk bed. The small bedroom is only accessible via the hall! One of the couches in the living room is a sofa bed.
Bathroom (with shower, toilet ...) and kitchen are brand new and modern. The kitchen is equipped with many appliances and equipment very well. The apartment also has a guest toilet. You can use our washing machine in the cellar, as well as the laundry. A children's travel bed as well as a child's chair can be used by both apartments on request.

We stayed here as a family of four - two young teen boys and ourselves. This apartment is exactly as shown in pictures, was clean and had everything needed to make our stay comfortable - including basics like coffee, tea, spices for cooking etc (all the stuff that can cost a fortune if you have to go buy it for self catering).
The garden view flat is on the ground floor and has access to a pleasant patio with furniture and a barbecue. Off street parking (and there is plenty of parking on street). Easy access to laundry facilities. Beds very comfortable.
It seems that most guests are German Nationals as all information such as the welcome pack was only provided in German so we couldn't benefit from any recommendations that may have been in there.
Note: the second room (which has bunks) is accessed off the communal hallway that is also used by guests in the flat upstairs. Each apartment has it's own "front door" off the hallway so the childs room is beyond the ground floor front door. The only way to listen out through the night is to have their door open as well as your own flat door. I would have been uncomfortable leaving a lone or younger child in there. This is mentioned in the listing but the translation doesn't make it particularly clear of the set up.
Very quiet residential area, 25 minute walk to Lake -probably 15 minutes walk to any restaurants / bars.
Lots of supermarkets very close by for supplies.
