Apartment / Monteurzimmer

We 3 friends enjoyed a lovely stay at this comfortable, quiet, spacious and well equipped apartment on the outskirts of Herrhausen hamlet. Excellent communication beforehand with the host, Melanie, responding promptly to my queries, albeit in German. Her mother lives in the apartment below so was on hand for our arrival from the UK, and kindly gave us some tinned meat and butter for a simple supper as there were no shops open in walking distance. (The nearby Tabak is open most mornings and stocks a few basic provisions, mainly tins and dried goods). Electrical sockets were plenteous in the living room. We were visiting for our choir tour, so walked in and out of Seesen most days, along the excellent footpath parallel to the road (we never saw a bus but there are a few each day to Seesen). Between rehearsals and concerts, we enjoyed local walks into the hills as well as exploring Seesen and the Harz Mountains and nearby towns. Seesen has some bus and train links for travel further afield. The Harz mountain area is fascinating and beautiful. 2 suggestions for improvement: 1. The nice waterfall shower never got warmer than lukewarm even after a patient wait. 2. A couple more pillows would be useful as the very fluffy pillows were comfy but had very little depth once compressed. Thankyou. We had a great stay and would certainly hope to return if needing accommodation in the area.
