Gaillac is an historic wine producing region located just northeast of Toulouse, in South West France. It is one of France's oldest viticultural areas, established in Roman times or even earlier, and still produces a wide variety of wines today. We so enjoyed returning to the Gite every evening of our stay after touring historic villages and wine tasting at nearby Château. Our hosts were wonderful, communication was excellent (we speak a little French and our hosts no English-we used our translation app), the Gite was very clean and well appointed and in a quiet rural area with beautiful views of the countryside.

We spent three weeks in this lovely house in July/August 2019. The reception was pleasant and efficient. The house was very clean (both inside and outside). The equipment in the kitchen, the tableware and the cutlery were complete. The beds were perfect. The bathrooms were very comfortable. The washing machine etc. everything was there. It was like at home. The huge windows in the front part of the house are impressive. The curtains and the rest of interior well chosen. Everything felt and was indeed comfortable. It was extremely hot when we were in Lebirosc: 42C. But both in the house and on the lovely terrace it was pleasant to stay. I am not sure if there was airconditioning. In any case without it, it was still okay. The terrace has a large cover, that makes it possible to sit outside when it rains and when it is too sunny to sit on the grass. We loved it so much that it needed some motivation to go for a trip. Coming back was always a pleasure , because of the lovely view. We have spent many holidays in many lovely houses, sometimes even more luxurious than this house, but the combination of the house, the terrace (did I mention the comfortable furniture?!) and the view makes that we say this was the best house ever. As one of the previous guests wrote, there is indeed a road next to the house. We found that after the closing gate and seeing the view, and sitting about 30 (?) meters removed from the road that was no problem at all. There was no boulangerie, but at the post office there is a depot for bread, where we bought 5 days a pain, which was delicious. I only have small suggestion: a livre d'or. Personally I love reading what previous guests enjoyed doing. I always write in those book. There were lots of leaflats from the offices de tourisme. The area has many possilibities for sightseeing and activities. Also from that perspective we recommend this house warmly! To add one more important thing: the hosts were perfect too. Very kind and not intrusive.

The house was spacious with great living spaces inside and out. The kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed some home cooking. The location was peaceful, but easy driving to several tourist sites.A great place to stay!
