Escape the crowds and unwind at Prime Hook Beach, a hidden gem on the Delaware Bay just off Route 1. Conveniently located near Rehoboth and Lewes, this peaceful retreat offers a natural beach with gentle waves and a gradual slope—perfect for kids and dogs to swim safely. Spend your days searching for seashells, flipping horseshoe crabs, or simply relaxing by the water.
Our home backs onto a beautiful wildlife refuge, providing a serene backdrop for your stay, with sandy beach access just steps away across the quiet residential street.
Our home offers the perfect blend of comfort and coastal charm, featuring 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, and an open-concept floor plan with water views from every window. The sleeping arrangements include two bedrooms with queen sized beds and one bedroom with full over full bunk beds. The house sleeps 6 total.
The fully equipped kitchen includes a large fridge, gas stove, full dishwasher and a spacious toaster oven (fits a casserole dish or pizza). Please note: we do not have a full oven. We provide all pots, pans, dishes, and serving ware, along with a drip coffee maker and Keurig—plus coffee, creamer, and sugar to get you started! You may even fire up the gas grill on the side deck and enjoy a cookout!
Bring your furry friend—our home and the beach are dog-friendly! We kindly ask that you clean up after your pet and keep them on a leash when outside.

As of September 1st, 2026, we will no longer be renting out our beloved bayside retreat. Over the past 10 years, we've been incredibly fortunate to share our home with so many wonderful guests-families making memories, couples celebrating honeymoons, babies enjoying their first beach days, and even dogs experiencing their first (and sometimes last) adventures by the sea.
This was not an easy decision, but we remain committed to providing a five-star experience for every guest until our final rental day.

An absolute beautiful, clean, and peaceful sanctuary. We couldn’t believe how extremely well stocked the home was, from beach towels, bath towels, every paper product, cooking needs, tons of fresh linens. The view from the deck is absolute bliss. The beach is a short walk across the street. Beds are very comfortable, nice furniture to fit everyone. We enjoyed every moment of everyday, even when it wasn’t beach weather, we could still enjoy being on the spacious deck. We can’t wait to return to this gem.

Lovely beach house!! Best of both worlds with it being about 1 min walk across the street to the bay “beach” side and amazing views from the back deck of the bay. We had no issues with bugs biting on beach or bay side. You can hear the waves when in the living/dining room when you open the windows in the morning and the sunsets off the back deck are amazing. The house is fully stocked with anything you could need including paper products, coffee, towels, beach chairs/toys etc. It’s 15 min drive to town of Milton for groceries/pizza etc. and 20ish min drive to Lewes for a more beach town tourist vibe. The house has great vibes with it being so bright and airy. We used the outdoor shower all week! Loved walking the dogs in the neighborhood and friendly neighbors everywhere. We will be back soon! Thank you!

First off, the property owners were very attentive and easy to communicate with. They kept in touch for the duration of the trip. We had a last minute surprise addition of a family member and it was no issue with the owners. Next, the property was in a charming little neighborhood which is very quiet and calm. No through traffic whatsoever. The views from the property were absolutely stunning and peaceful. The back porch is a perfect place to watch the birds and relax.
Next, the house itself was as described. There were lots of items available for use. There was plenty of room for our family. Lots of kids toys available that my kids loved playing with. The kids bunk beds were super comfortable. Views from the 2 back bedrooms were breathtaking.
Lastly, we had horrible luck the week we stayed here. Apparently if there is a certain breeze, the beach becomes swarmed with biting greenhead flies. These were so aggressive that we couldnt spend more than a few moments on the beach without being bitten over and over. Huge welts. This honestly made the trip pretty miserable since the main point was to go to the beach. We ended up booking a few nights further down the coast just to spend a few days on the beach and try to salvage the trip. I know this is iust the luck of nature so obviously theres nothing anyone could have done to avoid or prevent this.
