The sea and the nearest sandy beaches are about four kilometers away, and shopping options are about five kilometers away. The surrounding area is perfect for walks and bike rides; the coast offers a wide range of opportunities for swimming and water sports.

For example, at the Jasmund-Therme “Splash,” you can enjoy the sauna area, the wellness center, and the swimming pool for a fee. Another highlight for families near Bobbin is Dinosaur Land Rügen.
The surrounding area offers numerous opportunities for long bike rides and hikes. A bike ride to the famous chalk cliffs offers unique views of Rügen’s magnificent natural landscape. A visit to the nearby Chalk Museum is also highly recommended.
Prora is located between Jasmund and Binz. Here you can visit the 1,250-meter-long treetop trail. On this stairless path, over 40 meters above the ground, you can escape the worries of everyday life before climbing the Eagle’s Nest. This is a wooden structure over 40 meters high that connects to the treetop walkway. From 82 meters above sea level, you can enjoy a fantastic view of the entire island of Rügen. North of Prora, ferries dock daily at the Mukran ferry terminal—a sight that can be perfectly observed from the modern Peters Café, located right on the water.
