We spent a very nice week in August at ‚La petite maison‘. Our hosts were very friendly and replied quickly to any requests. We even got a pick up at the train station as we arrived by train which our tired kids and us appreciated very much.
The house had just the right size for us with the two older kids staying in the basement room and the youngest sharing a bed with us. The basement room was a bit moist, but with airing out every morning and evening it worked out fine.
We very much enjoyed sitting on the terrace for breakfast and dinner and that the house was so close to shops, town and the small town beach. Larger beaches are also easy to reach.
All in all we enjoyed our stay very much and would like to thank our two hosts for their hospitality.

The property is located in a quiet residential street near to some local shops and about a mile on foot to the Vieux Port - a lovely tree lined stroll. The house is small but perfect for two people. We only used the ground floor - bedroom, shower, wc, kitchen and a nice sunny sitting room leading out into a small garden. NB Access to the basement accommodation is via very steep stairs. Only practical for the young and nimble! The house is a good base from which to explore the wonderful port town of La Rochelle.

This property was good for my wife and I. Everything we needed was available. The location is good with a lovely stroll along the water into the town centre. Parking outside on the road was not ideal and it was our 3rd day before we could park directly outside of the house. Only downside was the based bedroom, this is not suitable for use. It is noisy due to hum of fans and dehumidifer that was needed to keep the damp smell down. Great house if you are looking for one bedroom.
