The house and the views were beautiful. We enjoyed being away from the hustle and bustle of the big cities. If you are looking for a peaceful, breathtaking place, this is it! The house had all of the comforts of home without the stress. Thanks for the memories!

We just spent a fantastic holiday in Gracas hideaway in the mountains. If you haven't already been there, hurry up an book a stay!
Everything was well organized. The house was very clean, the beds most comfortable, the kitchen had everything you need to cook. Outside you will find a barbecue and a wood fired pizza oven. All i perfect working condition and very clean.
The view from the terrace is simply spectacular and most addictive.
We loved getting up early in the morning and watch the sun rising over the mountains.
There are plenty of things to do. You can eather stay at the house and enjoy the big pool or the activities in the garden or you can visit Porto, Braga, Bom Jesus, the castle in Guimares( don't forget to stroll along the steets of the old town) Celorico - market day is Sauterday, or sit in one of the little cafés in every lille village you will be driving through, Everywhere people are friendly and welcoming.
The house is right in the middle of the mountains and you will need a car. Shopping for groceries is a 15 min drive away.
Graca was a most kind and helpful host during our two week stay. We would love to come back. Thank you so much, Graca, for letting us stay at your wonderful house.

We have enjoyed our stay from the first minute till the last minute. The house met all our expectations and even exceeded our expectations, because the living room and kitchen are larger and better looking than in the pictures.
Sitting on the porch at the dining table or on the lounge chairs we enjoyed the spectacular view. The swimming pool has a very nice size and there are enough sunbeds and sunchairs availalbe at the poolside and also another loungeset.
The baker drives by every morning, so that we could buy fresh bread, buns and pastries. That was wonderful as well.
Graça, the owner of this house, is a very friendly person who has made this house a real nice home for all her guests.

We had a marvellous week at Casa Montanha. It was even more stunning than the pictures - stupendous views right across the valleys to the mountains and total peace. We saw dramatic thunderstorms over the hills but also calm sunny times in and out of the magnificent pool. Graça was a lovely host, most attentive from the initial welcome to checking in through the week, with top tops for our day trip to Porto.
The house was quite simply the best holiday home we have ever stayed in. Very well equipped and so many comfortable places to sit and be in the lovely garden, shaded terrace and spacious home. We enjoyed fabulous dinners at home using the great bbq, with bay and apples from the grounds. The three bedrooms were all a good size and elegant with excellent showers. We were a family with four grownup children and it was comfortable to eat or play cards or lounge by the pool all six of us - unusual.
We loved the area - rural Portugal with deep peace, but not too isolated. Town and shops not too far away and we enjoyed the daily bakers van and the river beach in nearby celerico.
All in all, it was perfect. Thank you Graça, we would all like to come again!
