In the surroundings there are numerous routes to do: the Bread Cycle route, the Foxo del Lobo route, the A Cela-Salgueiro-Pitoes route, the Dos Castelos route or the Mao River mills route; as well as wells for bathing in the Mao River (Pozos das Olas) and hot spring baths (Riocaldo and Portoquintela). Also noteworthy is the important archaeological heritage of the Roman era that the region has, the practice of water sports in the As Conchas reservoir or the granite landscapes of the Xurés.
