About this apartment rental
Large apartment house "Viscaria", 5 storeys. In the district of Spiss 600 m from the centre of Zermatt, in a quiet, sunny position on a slope. In the house: lift, storage room for skis, central heating system. Motor access to 100 m from the house. Stepped path (82 steps) to the house. Supermarket 450 m, restaurant 650 m, bakery 650 m, 20 minute walk to the centre, bus stop "Spiss" 100 m, railway station "Bahnhof Zermatt" 650 m. Mountain railway 600 m, ski rental 600 m, ski bus stop 100 m, ski school 1 km, children's ski school 1 km. Cabs cannot stop right in front of the house. Please note: the keys‘ handover takes place by the agency Interhome in Zermatt. Additional accommodations can be booked.

Partly renovated in 2014, comfortable and cosy furnishings: open living/sleeping room with 1 double fold-away bed (2 x 90 cm, length 200 cm), dining table, TV, radio and DVD. Exit to the balcony, south facing position. Small kitchen (2 hot plates, oven, toaster, kettle, microwave, freezer, electric coffee machine, fondue Set (cheese)). Shower/WC. Balcony. Balcony furniture. Beautiful view of Matterhorn. Facilities: hair dryer. Internet (WiFi, free). Please note: non-smokers only.

Clean accommodation at the quieter end of town with everything you need in the room. Spectacular position overlooking the town and unhindered view of the Matterhorn.
There's a fair few steps to get to the accomodation but ypu get used to it

We enjoyed our stay very much. The room was clean and it was the perfect size for two people. We really enjoyed the view of the Matterhorn and the town! Since the building is higher up on the hill, there were a lot of stairs to get to it but the view made it worth it!

Pros
- Magnificent view of the Matterhorn
- Large balcony
- Close (ish) to town
- Comfortable bed
- Very quiet block of flats with lift
- Bus stop right opposite the bottom of the path up the hill (red and green buses)
Cons
- Very small kitchen, no oven except for small electric plug-in type
- Long walk up the hill although there is disabled access, not suitable for wheelchairs however
- At the farthest end of town from the main lift, close to Sunnegga however

Die Unterkunft hat mir sehr gut gefallen, wenn man das Treppenlaufen gewöhnt ist. Leider haben die Zusatzkosten für Bettwäsche, Frottierwäsche und Endreinigung (pro Person verrechnet) die Endsumme so in die Höhe getrieben, dass ich es nicht mehr mieten würde.
