About this house rental
Lake Ivanhoe sandy beach oasis! .This cottage has everything you need for a perfect lake front getaway. Kitchen with stove, fridge, microwave. Three bedrooms in total. Lake front bedroom has a queen size bed with a large picture window overlooking the lake. The second room also has a queen size bed. The third bedroom has full size bunks for the kids to sleep comfortably. The open concept dining and living room has a large flat screen TV, pull out sofa, and dining table. Oversized deck in the front overlooking the lake with a patio table. Sandy beach has a fire pit and dock and crystal clear water.
For the times when you just don't feel like cooking, there is the Blue Bay Seafood and Steaks Restaurant and Bar less than a half mile away on Province Lake Road. Plus Jim's Wheelhouse Pizza in the same area. The Knotty Pine Restaurant and Poor People's Pub are 10 minutes down the road. There is also the Country Goods and Groceries store less than a half mile away on Province Lake Road, which sells pizza and subs and has all of your grocery needs, along with beer and wine and some of the best ice cream in the area! The New Deal grocery store and gas station is in the same area. If it's a great breakfast you want, try Cindy's just across the street.
The lake isn't just for summer vacation. There are many antique shops to explore, fresh fruit to be picked at local farms, and leaf peeping in the Fall. These all make for fun family day trips and memories to last a lifetime. We are approximately 45 minutes to North Conway. There, you can shop the many outlet stores, and other local hand-craft, antique and gift shops, ride one of the area's scenic train rides, visit the many family attractions, such as Story Land and Santa's Village, and ski at one of the many resorts in the area. If it's golf you enjoy, Province Lake Golf Course is just a 10 minute scenic drive away. There you can enjoy a round of golf, then dine at The Restaurant at Province Lake Golf located in the clubhouse. You can travel to North Conway or Lake Winnepesaukee for the day!

Gorgeous lake with great views. Property could use some work. Chairs on deck were ripping. Advertosed a Keurig so i purchased a box of kcups and no keurig when we got there. Small old coffee pot that made 2 cups of coffee. No glasses for juice or drinks. Pots were very worn. No propane so i ended up making burgers on the stove the first night. Owner was friendly and easy to reach.

We (two adults & two kids) stayed here for a week in the summer. It was great. About an hour to Lake Winnipesaukee (Wolfsborough or Laconia) for things to do. Not much close, so we did mostly day trips. The house was not clean- it’s a cabin. It was good enough, but not clean. The back deck and the lake were perfect though and that’s really what we went for. There are a few concrete steps down to a sandy beach perfect for the kids. The doc was fun to fish off of. The sunsets were beautiful. Would definitely recommend to a family looking for a quiet getaway.

This house is at an amazing location right on the lake but with two little kids there are a few things I wish I had known before going
1. There were no outlet covers in the bunkbed room which left the outlets and wires exposed. My husband is an electrician and took covers from other rooms and put them in bunkbed room so we could ensure that our kiddos were safe. In the queen bedroom there is a tapestry covering a huge hole in the wall that has exposed pink insulation.
2. The railings on the outside porch are rotting so we had to make sure the kids would stay away from them as some parts were already missing and we didn't want them to lean against them and break. The porch screen door was also duck taped in several spots which wasn't very comforting with kids.
3. There was 6 of us for the week and found that there wasn't enough folks to accommodate all of us. We also ran out of dish soap, hand soap and the laundry detergent bottle was empty.
4. The host did say the property was cleaned before we got there but the floors were filthy and were clearly not touched. We tried to vacuum a few times but the vacuum was missing wheels and was blowing out the sand instead of sucking it up. We found it a little odd that we were required to clean our own sheets when they have a cleaning service supposedly come after leaving.
location amazing but I wouldn't go back with all the safety hazards especially with young kids.
