Spacious, bright, and renovated home near the beach in Borrby

Welcome to our newly renovated and charming captain’s house (about 140 m²) in the older part of Borrby, the heart of Österlen. Grocery stores (including a highly recommended “old bakery”), a pharmacy, antique shops, a movie theater, and a good restaurant with a bar are all within a few minutes’ walk. For foodies: Just a short drive away, you’ll find “Vyn,” the restaurant of Michelin-starred chef Daniel Berlin, which is renowned far beyond Sweden’s borders.

Several of southern Sweden’s most beautiful beaches are about a 10-minute bike ride away. Borrby is just over an hour away from Malmö and Lund. It takes an additional 30 minutes to reach Copenhagen Airport. The bus station is very close to the house. Other beautiful nearby destinations include Kåseberga with Ale Stenar, Stenshuvud with Rörum Beach, and Sandhammaren, the beach with the finest and whitest sand in all of Sweden.

We completed the renovation in the spring of 2025, completely refurbishing the house, which dates back to the 1930s. It has 3 bedrooms, 1 family room, 1 living room, 2 bathrooms with showers, and a modern kitchen. On the upper floor, which features a living room, 2 bedrooms, and a bathroom, 4 Velux skylights provide plenty of light.

The bright dining and living room on the first floor features a wood-burning stove. The entire house has white-waxed hardwood floors. We’ve exposed the ceiling beams and preserved other original details from the house’s construction era. Outdoor seating areas invite you to relax in the garden (furniture and a grill are provided).

Tenants must bring their own bed linens and towels.

The garage is not available for rent.
