About this villa rental
Directly on the long beach of Gennadi is the newly renovated beach villa (first occupancy 2018, modern 90 sqm) on a good 4. 000 sqm plot. The sound of the sea can be heard right up to bed - promised! The house is modern. The beach is miles long and virtually deserted, the water crystal clear. The house merges inside and out into a harmonious refuge - sea, air, light, sun, shade, palm trees - the right place for every state of mind is guaranteed ...
The beach villa is ideal for couples who want to enjoy their togetherness, for small groups of friends and for families with children of all ages. For the children there is even a swing in the garden. High chair and cot are available on request.
Our guests have access to the entire house and garden. Beach villa and garden have a contemporary decor - modern kitchen appliances (dishwasher, microwave, stove, oven, coffee maker), washing machine, wireless internet, sun loungers, etc .. The style of the house is Greek blue and white in a cozy country house style. Everything is new - the last furniture is brand new beginning 2018 ....
The beach villa is the owner's childhood dream ("Surfer Boy"), but there is not enough time left to inhabit it permanently ... But we are always back on the island, in this or another place ...
On request, a cleaning service can be booked in (almost) any interval.
This beach villa with its wonderful garden and the direct location on the miles long beach is the ideal oasis of well-being for sun seekers and peace seekers. We have lovingly renovated and furnished the house, because it is also for us - so we are pleased about guests who appreciate and enjoy this offer.
The beach villa is located about 2 km from Gennadi directly on the beach and in the middle of a large garden with some old trees (hammock!), many olive trees and some fig trees. The immediate neighborhood is characterized by fields, olive groves and some detached houses. The beach is miles long and almost deserted, the water crystal clear. The environment is natural, rural and quiet. It is a place of power for the soul.
Gennadi is located on the south east coast of Rhodes, about 27 km from Lindos (great acropolis and hustle and bustle), 65 km from the city of Rhodes (enchanted old town and pure shopping) and the airport, 30 km from Prasonisi (Surfers' Paradise) and 14 km from Plimiri (probably the best fish restaurant of the island).

Unobstructed view of beach which was always deserted so very peaceful.The property was well equipped for our stay.We didn’t need to use the aircon and the villa is well ventilated. The reason for only 3 stars are the incredibly uncomfortable beds. We found it very difficult to sleep on such hard mattresses.Also, and this is not down to the owners we were unlucky to have noisy guests in next door villa and noise from the building site on other side.

Villa Thalassa was absolutely perfect for our needs. The villa itself is welcoming and clean with a wonderful garden with lovely shady areas to sit, lie down, eat breakfast etc. Best of all, it is right on the beach which genuinely IS deserted, even in July! It meant everyone was happy! Those who just need to be snorkelling/cooling in the sea, then want to lie out either in the sun or shade, as well as the teenagers who need to escape to a bit of air-conditioning and a social media fix! Also for animal lovers, we had the joy of a cat, a few Dama dama deer, a hare, some beautiful birds (incl a hoopoe) and a number of lizards visiting the garden. Delightful! I think a car is pretty essential in the summer as the 2km walk to Gennadi would be hard when temperatures are in high 30s/low 40s. It also means you can explore the beautiful island of Rhodes. Highlights for us were: Valley of Butterflies, Old Rhodes Town, Lindos, Prasonisi, Monolithos castle… Very sad to be leaving. Would happily stay another fortnight!

Combined peace and tranquility of a beach side location with the convenience of all the village facilities. (Shops bars restaurants) Within walking distance.
Villa was comfortable and well equipped.
Well located for exploring the quieter southern half of Rhodes as well as Lindos.
