Beaufort in Bloom! Historic District artist's townhouse, WALK EVERYWHERE!

Felt like a luxury bed and breakfast (without the food unfortunately lol) Beautifully appointed townhome with parking and an excellent location to enjoy the hamlet of Beaufort. Linda was very responsive and the cost made this VRBO an outstanding value!With two large bedrooms and full baths upstairs, this is a great space for two couples or a family

Thus property is perfect for a couples getaway! Very clean, spacious and very well stocked! Owners were very easy to work with.

The location was very good with two parking spaces and had it not been so hot, it would have been walkable to downtown. The place was large with two living rooms. Both bedrooms were a good size with one being especially large. It was nice that each guest bedroom had access to their own bathroom, but it would have been nice if the smaller bedroom had its bathroom ensuite and that there were double sinks for each bathroom. It was also nice to have a separate half bath downstairs with the two large living areas and well stocked kitchen. The beds were great and we want to know what kind of mattresses they were because they were so comfortable. The host was was very responsive even when the process of paying through Vrbo was not gong smoothly for the second and final payment.

Our first impression was a pleasant surprise, because the townhome had been decorated so nicely: varied artwork on the walls and decorated with an eclectic and interesting flare. The location was especially convenient. Once we started to settle in, though, we discovered that the place needed a good vacuuming and general cleaning. Dust was really thick along the floor edging and baseboards, and the bottom of the curtains were thick with dust. The rugs were in need of cleaning, and the wooden floors and tiled kitchen and baths were especially dirty. All the woodwork needed cleaning. I was disappointed especially with the kitchen, as I could see that cleaning needed to be done. The bannister going upstairs was actually sticky to touch. No cleaning supplies were provided, and dirty sponges were on the counter. The utility closet was filthy, as was the under kitchen sink cabinet. I was especially disappointed when I discovered roaches in the upstairs master bath, along with dead insects throughout the perimeters of the rooms, where I was compelled to vacuum thoroughly. Windows were so dirty that we refused to open them. The appeal aspect was a downer for us. I would check the drain in the kitchen, as there was a bad odor coming from the sink. So sad to experience this, as it was such a cute place.
