Kay Dee Haus (KDH-29) is a great house in the heart of Kill Devil Hills. Located just a short walk from the beach and restaurants (including one of the few ocean front restaurants in the Outer Banks) the location provides the perfect combination of "being close to it all" as well as the relaxation of a beach vacation. The 1000 sq feet of large decks, open great room (no bedrooms located on the top floor), rec. room and pool area provide many great spaces for your family to relax and enjoy each other's company. This house is pet friendly, so no need to leave your four-legged family members at home with the additional fee of $210 (plus tax).
2025 FREE pool heat 3/30/25-6/6/25 and 8/30/25-10/10/25. Available during other weeks for an additional $250 pool heat fee. 2026 FREE pool heat 3/28-6/5 and 8/29-10/9. Pool open from 3/28/26-11/1/26. The pool heat will only work if the air temp is 60 degrees and is only capable of heating the pool to 10 degrees above the ambient air temperature.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations: If, after your initial payment, you need to cancel your reservation, every attempt will be made to re-rent the property. All notices of cancellation must be in writing. If the property is re- rented at full price, you will receive a full refund of moneys paid, less a $150 cancellation fee, travel insurance premium (if purchased) and all applicable taxes. If the property is able to be re-rented, but at a discounted rate from what was paid, you will be refunded your rental payment, less the difference in the rental rate and the $150 cancellation fee. If the property is not able to be re-rented, you will forfeit all moneys paid to this reservation.

House was clean and had everything that was described in the listing. Location is perfect, very short walk to the beach and several good restaurants nearby. Also just a short drive to plenty of other OBX destinations. Would definitely book this house again!

This is an extremely nice home. The pictures really don't do justice to the quality of the property.It's just a short walk to the beach and you are in the heart of the action of Kill Devil Hills.

Place was clean with plenty of equipment & utensils for us to cook food, close walk to the beach & other amenities!

House was great, had everything you could want, including a stocked kitchen with gently used items (nice change from the usual ☺). Hot tub, pool table, and pool were great, the pool furniture was too notch! Really great stuff and fun pool toys available. The owners really took care to make a stay there fun.
Unfortunately, the location of the house wasn't as great. There are 2 houses within 10 feet of this house on both sides and you look directly onto their back decks. I didn't see this in the photos and I was very surprised. The biggest disappointment, though, was the huge hotel that blocked the view of the ocean. I can't say enough how disappointing the view was.
Beach access was very close, which was great, but you have to walk passed the hotel garbage dumpsters to get to the beach. Very smelly and gross.
