Conveniently located near the Bangor/Brewer area, you can either relax and enjoy a canoe or kayak paddle (available on-site) or simply enjoy the location on the deck or by the campfire. For the more adventurist types, you can participate in the many amenities available in the area.
In this spot you will be close to many parks and walking trails, golf courses, Hollywood Casino, historic Fort Knox, the Penobscot Narrows Observatory, the Bangor Waterfront Pavilion, and a variety of restaurants and shops. A short drive east will bring you to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park and scenic Downeast Maine. For the more outdoor types, a drive north will bring you to Baxter State Park and Mount Katahdin.
Close to Bangor International Airport, you can fly in and rent a car, or bring a car or camper and park on-site.

John and Martha were fabulous hosts. The cabin was just lovely and clearly not a commercial rental. It was lovingly taken care of with lots of extras in the house for guests (like cream in frig for coffee). Firewood was stacked and ready, including lots of kindling, which made lighting both the fire outside by the lake and inside in the fireplace easy. Kayaking and canoeing (provided) around the lake and listening to the loons was magical. It was easy to get to, conveniently located between Bangor and Bar Harbor, and quiet. 10 out of 10.
