About this house rental
This lakefront home has plenty of space for family or friend groups to gather together with a separate sleeping area to allow room to spread out! The main level living space has two bedrooms, a bathroom, kitchen, living room, a screen porch used as an enclosed eating area, and a large deck overlooking the lake. The lower level has a game room, laundry and a queen bedroom with a private bathroom. There is a second equally spacious covered deck off of the game room. The upstairs has a loft area and a large bedroom with two sets of bunk beds, a queen/twin bunk and full/twin bunk. There is a private bathroom for this room. In addition to the main house, there is a separate 2-bedroom space and its own private living space (no kitchen) and deck. There is a fully stocked kitchen, BBQ grill, and fire pit. We have central air throughout the house and apartment
There is a private floating dock available from late April through fall. A community boat launch is just 0.3 miles down the road. 2 kayaks and a paddle board are available for your use. The community also has two outdoor heated pools Memorial Day through Labor Day, along with playgrounds, tennis courts and basketball court. The dock is in a protected cove across from Cairns Island. This is a beautiful location in a very popular
NO WAKE ZONE! Swim right off the dock. Cairns Island has a picnic area and beach, and there is a bald eagle nest just down the road.
THIS IS A STEEP MOUNTAIN PROPERTY WITH MANY STEPS DOWN TO THE LAKE. The marina is close by and could be used to pickup/drop off anyone by boat who might have trouble with the steps. The main level of the house can be accessed with just two small steps and a firepit also on the same level as the driveway.
SPRING RENTALS- Due to previous issues with senior parties, the minimum stay is set for 5 nights. If you are interested in a shorter spring stay, please message me.
Summer rentals are Saturday to Saturday.

We hosted a family reunion here. The space was great because we loved having the main house plus the apartment. Access to the water was a little tricky but doable. We all loved the side porch with the gigantic table for dining or games. The paddle board and kayaks were a fun addition as was the private dock in a party cove. Jeanine was a dream to work with and very communicative. Wildlife was awesome! We saw bald eagles, minks and plenty of deer.

Everyone enjoyed having all the space. It worked very well for everyone to have their own sleeping space and bathrooms. But also large spacious areas to come together and eat or play games.The dock provided an excellent area for the 2 jet skis and water fun.The first day the steps were a killer, but maybe because we were out of shape. By day five they got easier.Jeanine was an excellent host and very easy to communicate with. Would definitely go back.

Upon arrival there was a noticeable ant problem. Also noticed that the place was not cleaned very well and that there was trash under the couches and the chairs. Went into the bedrooms and found that we had to make our own beds. Upon leaving, we cleaned up and had to put all sheets and towels in laundry room and start the washing process.We were not told that there was a big drop from the house to the docks on the lake. Had to be very careful of the walk down the steps and the uneven ground to reach the dock. Were not able to use dock due to signage that stated that there was no loitering on the dock. As for the fire pit, it also was on uneven ground with stones that slipped under our feet and some chairs that were in need of repair. Driveway was steep and difficult to maneuver with multiple cars. Also, lake view was minimal due to trees and deck table and chairs were not clean. However, we made the best of it and enjoyed our time together.
