Several of my siblings and I rented the two houses on the property. One of the days we hosted a baby shower for a sibling. The property is perfect for family gatherings. Plenty of room to spread out even when it rains. The reminder of our time spent here, the kids ran between the two houses, played on the lawn, fished, made smores and took nature walks. Just so many wonderful core memories were made. I highly recommend this property. Shelly was incredibly helpful from beginning to end as well. We plan to return. A truly wonderful property.

We had a great time celebrating my 60th Birthday at the Big Oak Fishing retreat!! I booked it mainly for the outdoor porch with the fireplace and the pond for us to fish. All I can say is wow!! Even though we had the hottest couple of days of the year we had a fire every day and night. I also caught 3 of the largest bass I have ever seen!! At least 5 pounds each!! The house was perfect and very very clean. I even made a comment to my husband that I couldn’t believe it was a pet friendly home. Nothing against pet friendly homes but from experience there is always pet hair somewhere. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was amazing!! And the kitchen …..WOW. Everything you would ever need to cook with. We cooked all meals there. We mainly lived out on the back porch or down at the dock. Very private home. There was someone staying at the other home on the property but we only saw them when they were coming or going. Do not hesitate! Book this home. We will definitely come back.

We had a wonderful stay! The back deck was definitely a highlight—we spent a lot of time out there. We also enjoyed the views of the pond, fishing, and walking the path around the water. It was such a peaceful and relaxing setting. As far as the house? We all thought the beds were comfortable, it was so nice to have 4 bathrooms, and the kitchen was well stocked. Overall, it was an ideal spot for our family get-together, and we’d definitely stay here again.
