The first time I came to this house, I sat by the river with a glass of wine and a book in hand. The mountain breeze swept over the water, and for the first time in a long time, I felt completely at peace. It wasn’t just a getaway, it felt like coming home.
Since then, we’ve poured love and care into every inch of this place, and now we’re opening it up to share that same feeling with you. Whether you’re here for quiet mornings, cozy nights, or just a reset from the noise of everyday life, we hope you’ll find the same sense of calm and connection that we did.

This spacious one-level home features 4 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, and sits on 1.65 acres with private access to the Kanawha River. Whether you’re planning a cozy weekend by the fire pit or a full itinerary of hikes and waterfalls, this home is the perfect base.

BASEMENT ACCESS: The basement is not part of the guest space and will remain off-limits during your stay, as it is used for owner storage.

We absolutely loved this house! From the moment we walked in, it was clear that someone put real care and style into renovating it — it’s modern, comfortable, and had everything we needed. It fit our group of six adults and one toddler perfectly. Plenty of space to spread out and relax. The kitchen was great, the beds were comfy, the showers amazing, and everything was sparkling clean. As for location — sure, it’s not exactly next door to the national or state parks, but let’s be real: this is West Virginia. The roads are windy, the GPS is confused half the time, and nothing feels “right around the corner”… but that’s kind of the charm, right? Just toss on some music, enjoy the scenic mountain views, and consider each trip part of the adventure. In short: we’d absolutely come back. This place was the perfect home base to return each night after a day of exploring — cozy, beautiful, and full of good vibes (and enough room to keep everyone sane). Highly recommend!

We loved Deepwater. The house was very clean and fully updated. The host was terrific. She was very easy to work with and communicated with us throughout our stay.

We had a blast at New River Gorge. Ariel's place was great to relax at after a day out rafting/enjoying the park. The beds were comfortable. The showers had excellent water pressure. The house is as pictured. It is a little bit of a drive (35ish minutes) from the house to the New River. There is a supermarket about 10 minutes away and some places to order food.
