"Pascal is a great host and the apartment is fine, clean, and there’s nothing missing to satisfy our needs. the view is to die for. The town is a bit sleepy. All in all, we enjoyed our stay very much..."

About this apartment rental

Welcome to the sea! The apartment is perfectly located on the beach, a fifteen minute walk from Saint Idesbald. No better place to enjoy the holiday feeling!

This fully renovated, modern apartment is fully at your disposal. It is a tight house with a lot of light on the second floor and accessible by elevator or stairs. Enjoy a fantastic sea view, both from the living room, kitchen and the 2 bedrooms.

This airy sun-oriented apartment is full of you during your stay. There is a free garage and a public car park is nearby. (payable only on weekends and holidays)

Ideally located near the center and just far enough from the biggest crowds at the end of the seaside. Right on the beach with a beautiful sea view, you only have 5 minutes in the shopping street! There is a wide variety of beach bars, tearooms, restaurants, shops and the beach.

Are you with the car? A day trip to Cape Gris or Blanc Nez on the Opal coast in France is easy to do, you are in a good hour. In Bruges you are in half an hour or visit the west front of WW I or the Meense gate in Ypres, a 45-minute drive. If you like cycling there are many routes, a very beautiful for the summer is that of Nieuwpoort to Diksmuide along the iron, visit the Ganzepoot and the dodengang or the iron tower. Stroll between the villas in Sint Idesbald to the Delvaux museum or go shopping in Nieuwpoort bath by tram, bike or car. There is a sailing club near the beach and once you walk to Mieke Hill, an old villa on the top of the dunes and do not forget the shrimp fishermen in Oostduinkerke.

You are at an hour from Lille. There you take the TGV and you are in Paris or London after a good hour of traces. Or drive by car to the tunnel in Calais and after 30 minutes you will find traces in the south east of England. These day trips are relatively easy to do.

You can rent bikes around the corner. By bike you can easily explore the area. The local taxi can be an option if you do not have a car. However, very easy and close is the tram that takes you from the extreme south (De Panne) to the far north (Knokke) of our coast. There are ten coastal towns and they are about 15 minutes drive from each other. The coast is 62 km long. Most municipalities have different villages and Sint Idesbald at Koksijde, just like Oostduinkerke. To the south of Saint Idesbald you will find De Panne which borders France. More northwards you have Nieuwpoort, Middelkerke and Ostend which is the largest coastal city in Belgium. Here lived James Ensor (a repro of the baths in Ostend hangs in the master room). In Ostend at the fisherman's wharf and wharf you will find fresh fish and you can buy snacks from the fish sellers. Then you have Bredene and De Haan which is worth the visit. Further north you will find Blankenberge and Zeebrugge, a sea port. Before you reach the Dutch border, you still have Knokke and Le Zoute for 'le beau monde'. The terminal for the tram line is Knokke. All municipalities are separated from beautiful dunes where it is wonderful to live, usually there are paths to follow.

Do not do anything right? Look from your lazy seat to walkers on the beach or past flying kites, horses on the beach and passing fishermen boats or pleasure boats are occasionally seen. Ask for binoculars that are available. Outside the summer it may be windy, a scarf, hat and jacket can be useful if you want to walk on the beach.
