About this cottage rental
Pure Pentwater Cottage can be your vacation destination, your home away from home, or your remote office location (with high-speed internet) all four seasons of the year. The star of the show is the expansive view of Bass Lake from all the main living spaces. You'll find your whole body and mind relaxing more and more as each day passes, helped by the view and the chic, modern decor.
Summertime offers plenty of water-based fun: on-site kayak and paddle boat, or bring your own boat to dock at the cottage, plus swimming, and fishing in the sandy-bottom 524-acre all sports Bass Lake. The water depth off the dock and at the lake’s edge is approximately 3-4 feet. Enjoy the sugar-white sand beaches of Lake Michigan at the nearby Mears State Park, complete with snack stand, playground, and bathrooms. After a day on and near the water, stroll along picturesque downtown Pentwater's Main Street for shopping and ice cream. Enjoy your meals downtown or back home either grilled and seated around the large picnic table or prepared in the totally updated kitchen with all the modern conveniences (including air fryer, crockpot, Keurig coffee maker, and dishwasher). Evenings gathered on the deck's Adirondack chairs or around the gas fire pit as you watch the sunset over the lake are where memories are made.
Winter time offers the opportunity to spend hours ice fishing directly on the lake, weather-permitting, with your own equipment, or just catching up and slowing down beside the cozy fireplace. Put your feet up with a good book or enjoy a movie on the Roku TV. Winter is a quiet time in Pentwater to escape the daily hustle and bustle in favor of complete serenity, while enjoying the convenience of some local year-round restaurants and visiting nearby Ludington without the crowds.
Spring and Fall have their own natural beauty and offer the same gorgeous lake views and same rejuvenating effect. The fireplace, the fire pit, the grill, the modern kitchen, the comfy beds - they’re all awaiting your arrival. Puzzles, games, pingpong, reading, cooking, walks, and exploring the charming villages of Pentwater and Ludington are a great way to enjoy the cottage no matter which season you visit.
The cottage has three large bedrooms and sleeps 8. The main bedroom is tucked away on the main floor with a king size bed and luxurious hybrid foam mattress — relaxing and supportive for all sleep types. A full bathroom is off the main floor bedroom. Upstairs features two large bedrooms and a bathroom with shower. One of the upstairs bedrooms has a queen bed with luxurious Ghost bed mattress topper, as well as a twin bed with trundle. The other upstairs bedroom has a bunk bed and a full size bed. This bed configuration offers a range of options for just about any combination of family and friends. And the central AC/heat and a washer and dryer allow for truly year-round enjoyment.

*Note: our dock is directly behind our house; the one close to it, to the right, is not ours and is strictly off-limits.
*Note: there is no sloped beach access to the lake but the lake is perfectly swimmable from the dock, even for little ones with an adult and a flotation vest. There are several nearby sandy beaches, some with bathroom facilities, playgrounds, and refreshments. More info upon request and in the Welcome booklet upon arrival.

We had a wonderful weekend staying at Pure Pentwater. The house is very clean and well maintained and had everything we could have needed. The kids toys were an awesome surprise for our family and we used them all a lot. The lake is beautiful and the sunsets were gorgeous. We hope to return again someday.

This is a lovely cottage on Bass Lake. The view was beautiful as is the cottage. The hostess was very responsive to questions. We were greeted with a basket of snacks, a bottle of wine and a few other beverages. The place had everything we needed and more. Would absolutely recommend booking this place for anyone wishing to visit the Pentwater (MI) area!
