About this apartment rental
The old motor lodge re-invented! We recently took two hotel rooms and combined into one nice kitchenette suite. All new bathrooms, kitchens, doors, windows, lock system and furniture. Still has the old radiators and wall mounted AC units that we just couldn't find a way around, but they work great! An excellent base camp to enjoy the Black Hills and Badlands. Owners are avid hikers and mountain bikers who have lived in the area their entire lives. Happy to help get you pointed in the right direction.

Was a nice convenient property near everything we wanted to see in this area. Would recommend.

This location was perfect; easy access to The Badlands, Mount Rushmore, Wall Drug, Custer State Park. The building is a converted motel, and very well done. Very spacious. We loved having a kitchenette. Our bedroom A/C was not working correctly but the fan helped keep the room cool. Parking is easy. Laundry on site. Very quick responses to emails.
The key cafe pad was a bit of a pain.
I would prefer towels bars or rings in the bathroom rather than the shower pegs and one hook.
For dining, go to the Colonial House. Great food and huge portions. DO NOT go to the Mexican restaurant directly across the road. Terrible service and food.

Our stay here was “okay”. Location was convenient for our needs. The unit lacked some of the basics that we expected for our stay, but we made it work. When we had an issue with our keys, the owner was quick to respond.
