Overview: Welcome to Shipwatch C421, a three bedroom and three bath condo located in the Wild Dunes Resort on the Isle of Palms. This vacation home was updated in spring 2025 with new living room furnishings, fresh paint throughout and new carpet in the bedrooms. The expansive ocean views from most of the rooms can’t be beat and the oceanside community pool is a great amenity for kids and adults!
Living Area: The living room has brand new comfortable furnishings and incredible ocean views. Off of the living room is the deck which is the prefect place to soak up the sun and the sea breeze. The dining area offers a table that seats six.
Kitchen:
The fully equipped kitchen includes granite counters and a breakfast bar. You can even enjoy the ocean view while preparing meals to be shared with loved ones.
Bedrooms:
Upstairs primary bedroom has a king bed, ensuite bath, ocean view and a private deck.
Upstairs guest bedroom has a queen bed, ensuite bath, golf course view and a private deck
Downstairs guest bedroom has two twin beds and direct access to the hall bath.
Bathrooms:
There are three full baths and they all include a bathtub-shower combination.
Outdoor Space:
There are three decks to enjoy the sunset or sunrise and take in the sights and sounds of the ocean.

The Shipwatch community has a pool and a playground.

As you prepare for your stay, please be aware that the City of Isle of Palms is planning a beach renourishment project beginning late June 2026 near the north end of Wild Dunes. This important project is intended to help preserve and protect the beach shoreline.
During active work, guests may encounter temporary beach access limitations, equipment, or pipeline sections along portions of the beach. Because the project schedule and work areas may change, specific dates and locations are not yet known. We will continue to share updates as more information becomes available.

Great ocean view. Easy beach and pool access. Condo very clean and well decorated. Master bed is Tempur-Pedic. Very comfortable. Adult sons said other mattresses were also comfortable. Only downside was that no food available within walking distance. Most restaurants take reservations, though. Acme was the best and most cost effective.

The location and property were lovely however we did not like the 10am check out. Super difficult with 2 teenagers. On vacation we felt like 11am would have helped ease some of the stress especially since it is required to strip all the beds and place towels in the foyer. We do not mind picking up after ourselves but honestly the check out “list” almost made it feel like a full cleaning process before departure. With the expensive cleaning fee we felt it was excessive. We also did not realize that the fireplace would not be available for use. It was padlocked which was strange. It was quite chilly the week we were there and it would have been nice and cozy to have had access to that. Perhaps we missed that it was not to be used. Again the property itself was nice but feel like overall VRBO has became super difficult to deal with. So many fees and very little in return. You are expected to be completely out at the 10am checkout time but not allowed to check in 10 minutes early. Understand rules but wow… try to make it more of a peaceful experience.
