A splendid old town house with 225 square meters of built are and 100 square meters of fantastic garden with a private swimming pool and porch. Beautiful house 5 kms away from the beach.
The house has been completely refurbished mixing the XVIII century antique house with XXI century avant-garde architecture. Fantastic location in the centre of the medieval town of Pals (Girona).
The house has a very nice living room with a fire place. The place is decorated with a mixture of Antique and contemporary furnishings to offer all the commodities. The house is equipped with a WIFI connection.

SURROUNDING AREA: 'Can Caranta' is situated on the Medieval town of Pals. All around the town centre you can see splendid Gothic buildings, like the present-day museum of submarine archaeology Ca La Pruna, a fortified mansion from the 15th-16th century. It also holds a permanent exhibition of wines and cavas of Catalonia, a room offering temporary exhibitions of painters and sculptors.
In the town of Figueres (at 40Km) you will find Salvador’s Dali Museum. At 10 Km is La Bisbal d'Empordà famous for its ceramics. Close by are the Roman ruins at Ullestret, and many other historic medieval villages. Girona - capital of the province, with its Roman and Arabic history which can be seen in the old part of the city, also has a modern side, with great shopping, restaurants and night clubs (a 35 minutes drive).
ACTIVITIES / LEISURE: One of the most characteristic pictures of the coastline is the wide-open 3.5 kilometre long Pals beach with the Medes Islands in the background. Its special topography makes it the ideal spot to practice all types of water sports like windsurfing. Or if you prefer enjoying the surrounding secluded beaches of: Sa Riera, Sa Tuna, Aiguablava, Calella de Palafrugell or Llafranc (10minutes by car). Small sandy bays with rocky headlands, pine trees and clean water.
Only a few kilometres from Pals, in the town of L’Estartit, is the Medes Islands Marine Reserve, an archipelago formed by seven small islands that are admired the world over by people who practise underwater sports. A perfect place to practise: scuba diving, sea watching, snorkelling... and you don’t need to be an expert, because you will find professionals who will guide you and show you the most marvellous places in this privileged sea bed.

Great property, beautiful town. It is very big and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay. It would be better if kitchen paper towels are provided. There are no shampoos.

The house was lovely. Very comfortable beds, great outdoor spaces, well equipped kitchen. The only thing that was not great was the check-in process. The cleaning lady put the keys into the wrong lockbox and we couldn't get in. We texted and called the contact number, but it took the manager 1.5 hours to get back to us. Such a slow response on the day of the check-in was very disappointing. We also had no luck when asking about TV remotes. They didn't work and we asked if there might be spare batteries in the house in case that was the problem. The manager said there were no extra batteries and she wasn't planning to stop by to fix it. Otherwise, great stay.

Great location for the centre of Pals and very spacious, comfortable accomodation. The pool and garden were lovely. Fantastic beaches nearby.
