Whitefish Happy Bear Trail is conveniently located just 5 miles down Hwy 93S from downtown Whitefish, where you'll find shopping, diverse restaurants, and a vibrant atmosphere. In summer, enjoy outdoor adventures like hiking and mountain biking, while winter offers exciting skiing and snowboarding at Whitefish Mountain Resort, only 7 miles away. With easy access to both the town and the mountain, this retreat is perfect for all your seasonal activities!
This chalet in the woods has been completely remodeled and offers 1,500 square feet over two levels. You'll find four bedrooms and three bathrooms to sleep up to 10 guests. After stepping up a few porch steps, you will enter through the front door and into the great room, the living room, dining area, and kitchen, with the entire space offering a modern and rustic décor accentuated by the wood-beam ceilings. The living room features a large sectional couch, a 60” Smart TV, and a cozy wood-burning stove. The kitchen is fully equipped and provides stainless steel appliances, including an electric range, a refrigerator with ice/water on the door, and a center island for more counter space and storage. The dining area offers a gorgeous wood table with unique log stools and bench seating. This home provides the perfect place to unwind with a newly added private hot tub, along with its relaxing atmosphere.
The primary bedroom features a king-size bed, a 44” Smart TV, private balcony. The second bedroom has a queen bed with an XL twin trundle. a twin bed (that converts into a king bed), and a Smart TV. The upper-level full shared bath features a soaking tub inside an oversized shower. The main-level full shared bath features a shower.
Behind the house is an ADU where you will find two more bedrooms, a bathroom. Inside, there are two additional bedrooms with both featuring queen-size beds and beautifully painted murals. There is a shared bathroom with a large standing shower. You'll also find a game room where you can enjoy a large sectional and Smart TV, mini-fridge, plus a shuffleboard table and foosball table. A great space for some indoor fun.
In the winter, downhill skiing at Whitefish Mountain Resort provides 3,000+ skiable acres, 14 lifts with terrain for all skill levels, and stunning views. The resort was recently ranked #3 in the West by Ski Magazine readers! There are plenty of other winter activities from snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, ice fishing, hiking, snowshoeing, and more. Of course, you'll also want to explore downtown Whitefish eateries and galleries, and don't miss Winter Carnival with a parade and skijoring!
In the summer, enjoy all the watersports imaginable at Whitefish Lake, or any of the 100+ lakes & rivers within 100 miles, including Flathead Lake, the largest freshwater lake west of the Mississippi in the lower 48! Whitefish Mountain Resort also provides endless activities such as mountain biking, hiking, zip-lining, ropes courses, alpine slides, and scenic chair or gondola rides (with Glacier National Park views). Overall a very comfortable stay. We weren’t in the home much because we had so many excursions and hikes planned but we had everything we needed. For those planning to spend more time in the home you will definitely take more advantage of the amenities than we did! Would recommend.

The Chalet in the Woods was perfect for our family of 8 and our 2 dogs. The kitchen and bathrooms were fully stocked with everything we needed. We enjoyed the barbecue grill, and the fire pit was perfect for s'more's. We got plenty of use of the games in the game room, the TV and the comfy seating. We appreciated the fenced yard for our pets. This VRBO was clean and our host was friendly and accommodating. Would highly recommend this place and would book it again myself.
