Escape the craziness of life in this new construction, Beach Lake cottage. Wake up and have coffee with a beautiful view of the water and only minutes from Castle Rock Lake.
Outside of Prime Season it is just a 2 night minimum except during holidays

Welcome to Beach Lake Cottage – Your Home Away from Home
Unlike many rentals in the area, this is not just an investment property. This is our family’s cottage — a place we love and use often — and we’ve worked hard to make sure it feels like home for everyone who stays here. From the toys on the beach to the board games in the living room, everything has been set up with comfort, fun, and family time in mind.
Summer at the Cottage
There’s nothing better than summer on the lake. Our sandy beach is perfect for hours of swimming and playtime, while parents can relax knowing the kids are entertained. We’ve stocked the cottage with water fun for all ages:
4 youth kayaks, 2 paddleboards, and a 4-person paddle boat
2 teen/adult kayaks with upgraded seats
**Lot's of life jackets from kids to adults**
A bouncy water toy, floaties, and beach games like Cornhole, Spike Ball, and Beersbee, Tonka Trucks, Shovels, etc...
Multiple Bikes from Adult to kids-plus helmets
After a day on the water, enjoy s’mores around the firepit under a sky full of stars (firewood included), or gather on the deck around the propane fire table for late-night conversation.
Fishing is easy and fun — we provide poles and the lake is freshly stocked with bluegill and perch (catch and release).Stop down the road for some worms and you will be amazed at how many bluegills are ready to have lunch.
Rainy Day Fun:
When the weather doesn’t cooperate, the cottage has you covered. Inside you’ll find:
A big selection of board and dice games
Xbox and foosball table, dart board, air hockey, etc.
Crafts, Legos, and toys for kids
A few games just for the adults, too
Comforts of Home:
We’ve tried to include everything you’d want in a cozy getaway:
High-speed internet and streaming in all rooms
King bed, 2 queens, full bunk beds (sleeps 6 kids), sleeper sofa, and extra air mattress if needed
Room-darkening shades in all bedrooms for restful nights
Fully equipped kitchen with both a coffee maker and Keurig, plus an air fryer for quick bites
We welcome one dog (additional cleaning fee applies), because we know pets are family too.

Level 2 EV charging station in the garage (free to use with our charger)-Pull that Zoom zoom electric into the garage!
Heated/insulated garage
Large Weber grill with charcoal and a smoker with pellets provided
The Area:
Our cottage is just down the road from Castle Rock Lake, the Dirty Turtle Bar & Marina, Pine Cove (don’t miss the smash burgers), Shipwreck, and plenty of lakeside restaurants. Fishing is excellent, boating is endless, and there’s a family-friendly walking path to the lake we’d be happy to share directions for.
Nearby attractions include:
Sand Valley and Northern Bay championship golf courses
Buckhorn State Park and Necedah Wildlife Refuge
Elroy Bike Trail (15 min away)
Canoeing/kayaking on the Wisconsin and Lemonweir Rivers
Only 30 minutes from Wisconsin Dells for waterparks and entertainment
Just over 2 hours from Milwaukee, and 3–3.5 hours from Chicago.
Winter at the Cottage:
We love winters here just as much as summers. When the lake freezes, we clear ice for skating (skates and sleds provided) and sled down the hill with hot cocoa waiting inside. The fireplace makes the perfect spot to warm up after snowshoeing, snowmobiling, or exploring Buckhorn’s winter trails.
A Few Things to Note
This is also our home — we keep personal items in some dressers and cabinets, but we provide luggage racks and storage for your stay.
Swim towels are not provided, so please bring your own.
We use a professional cleaning service, but if you have sensitivity to scented detergents, consider bringing your own towels and sheets.
Security cameras are on the exterior/garage for safety.

This was a great place to have our family. Everything we needed was there. The extensive water toys were a big plus. Lots of indoor games for all ages to use. Great location. We all enjoyed our beach getaway! We plan on booking again for next year. It was easy working with Jeff and he answered any questions we had quickly.

The house is great and well maintained. The lake is small enough for younger kids to play and explore safely. We've stayed here several times at this point and always look forward to going here. The welcome binder at the house has good suggestions for local restaurants and grocery stores. You can also just use Google maps. We made good use of the fire pit and charcoal grill. Firewood and charcoal were both fully stocked up by the owner. It's really an enjoyable place to stay.

I've stayed at my fair share of vrbo's and many of them require an extra run to the grocery store to pick up missing necessities like coffee, or salt- that was not the case here. It helped that the owners really do live here, as we were not wanting for anything. The beach was perfect and full of activities for the kids (our four year old and two teens.) Adults had plenty of space to relax and enjoy. It's close to the Dells area and hiking opportunities so we had a mix of relaxation and getting out. We celebrated my in laws 50th anniversary as a family and they loved every moment- highly recommend!

Recently stayed three nights at this property (Aug 2024), location was fantastic & the beach area was perfect for a family. Jeff (owner) was easy to work with and very accommodating. He's got the house fully stocked, all the way down to wood for your bonfire and K-Pods for your morning coffee. We vacationed with our family of five, along with our dog - and loved the house. We spent most our time swimming, kayaking or paddle boarding and enjoyed having dinner on the elevated deck as the sun set each day. There's a grocery store less than 10-miles away, and Castle Rock Lake is minutes away from the house so if you have a boat or want to rent one, be sure to check it out.
If you're looking for a nice, relaxing getaway that's perfect for both young and old, don't hesitate to book Jeff's house - he's a great host and has a great location. Thanks for opening your house to us Jeff!
