Location: The house is located outside Castellamare and you will need a car to reach the beaches (which are spectacular, especially Riserva dello Zingaro, 15 mins by car) There are stores and cafe 2-3 mins driving and the center is only 5 mins driving. You cannot really walk anywhere from the house because there is no sidewalk and the road is pretty busy. House: the house is very spacious with a wonderful terrace overlooking the ocean, large rooms and big dining room with ocean views. The house is very clean but not modern (which for me is charming) so if you are looking for a lot of amenities and modern furniture/appliances, this is not the place. The owner, Miss Vita Alba is super nice and always available to help you. She even bought some drinks and fruits for us on out first day Be aware that there is no AC. There are big fans in each room, which usually are enough but it can be a problem when the temperature reaches 100F. The house has also a spaciuous garden but we did not use it since we were out of the house most of the days. NB: the house is a 2 family house and the owner's son (who lives on the upper floor) has a nice big dog who is very friendly but if you are allergic (or you do not like dog) let the owner know so they won't let him out in the garden.
