About this villa rental
Villa Elisa is an ancient farmhouse surrounded by greenery completely renovated on two levels.
On the ground floor there is a large living room with exposed stones with a relaxation part consisting of a television, DVD player and sofas for relaxing in company, while in the adjacent part there is a large wooden brother for group dinners; a kitchen equipped with every tool, a service bathroom and a double bedroom with private bathroom which has direct access to the park with swimming pool.
Climbing the characteristic stairs we reach the first floor where you can find 4 bedrooms composed as follows: 2 double and two twins, a games room with window from which you can see the towers of San Gimignano, a relaxation lounge, a study and two bathrooms, one of which with bathtub.
Outside we have a large garden surrounded by olive groves and vineyards with a private outdoor swimming pool with sun loungers, barbeque and everything you need for outdoor dining.
Our Villa is located a few KM from several characteristic villages of the Tuscan countryside:
5 km from Certaldo, famous for the house of the writer Boccaccio;
5 km from Castelfiorentino, where you can see the Bego museum;
7 Km from Montaione, a small tourist village with a terrace overlooking the Tuscan countryside;
15 Km from San Gimignano famous for its towers;
30 Km from Volterra, famous for its alabaster creations created by ancient craftsmen;
30 Km from Florence;
50 From Pisa

The best villa we have stayed in the 20years that we have been coming to tuscany. It was well equipped with plenty of room inside and outside. The hostess was very accomodating but also left us to get on with our holiday

This lovely house is completed surrounded by vineyards and top tourist attractions such as Florence, Pisa, San Gimignano, Sienna and Volterra are all within 1 hour driving’s distance. It is an old farm building, furnished with traditional furniture and a great, large outside pool. Beds are OK and everything is clean. The owners are living nearby and were extremely kind and cooperative without being intrusive. Room for improvement: water pressure and water heating is hardly up for the job. From time to time you smell the sewer a bit. And all bed rooms have only electric fans and no A/C, which was not so pleasant after hot days. Kitchen is small and especially the fridge is too small when 8 or more people are using the house. Having the garbage stored so close to the deck/patio is not great either: smelly and it attracts many flies. As everywhere in Tuscany, mosquitos are a problem. Especially in the bedroom on the ground floor. But the owners solved this issue swiftly for us by providing a mosquito net and electrical mosquito deterrents. But I guess this is all part of the country-side charm. We had a good time and enjoyed the stay in Villa Elisa a lot!
