There is a different air freshener in each room trying to hide the musty animal smells. It only made it worse.We did not get a response for check out until the day after we had checked out. Beautiful and clean cottage. Suggestions: Need full length mirror somewhere inside and also a mirror in each bedroom. Need more toilet paper (we ran out and had to buy more!) Need umbrella on back deck for shade and more bath towels and instructions for checkout. Host was kind and brought us firewood last night and turned on outside lights.

This was a wonderful property. It has an out in the country feel but, you are just 6 minutes from town. It is very clean, well appointed, bigger than it looks from the outside and the beds were very comfortable. There was even a beautiful bird nesting in the window box with 5 tiny eggs that hatched during our stay. It was perfect. We cant wait to come back.

I had to find lodging last minute because vrbo booked a property that owner said was not available, and charged me. I had to argue with owner who thought I was scamming him. You guys will never get business from me and I’ll take every opportunity to tell others. You were unavailable for assistance and when I finally got hold of owner they were rude and told me to contact vrbo.

Deer Brook Cottage was home away from home. The living space is large and airy. The kitchen is modern and sleek. The back deck is lovely. The fireflies were out each night at dusk. Our dogs loved the large yard. The owner was friendly, responsive and kind when we had a problem. The water was perfect and all the faucets, the dishwasher, washer, coffee maker worked well. We hope to come back to this sweet spot in southern Ohio!
