About this house rental

On the Verge is a beautifully presented, traditional cottage, a couple of minutes walk from the clear waters of Callala Beach. With three bedrooms (queen, double, two bunk beds), outdoor dining area, semi-enclosed outdoor lounge, and a spacious backyard, On the Verge is perfect for one family, two couples, or can accommodate two families, as well as dogs (fully fenced). On the Verge has everything you need for a relaxing, easy holiday, with a well-equipped kitchen, coffee machine, aircon in the living area, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, flat screen TVs (one in the kids' room with a DVD player), board games, books, toys, outdoor BBQ and woodfire for marshmallow roasting and star-gazing, swings, a cubby hut, a climbing tree, range of outdoor games (including badminton and croquet) and an outdoor shower for washing off after the beach.

Callala Beach area:

Callala Beach is an easy 2 1/2 hour drive south of Sydney and 3 hours from Canberra. It is one of the last sleepy coastal villages with friendly locals, surrounded marine park and national parks.

Callala Beach is renowned for its 4km stretch of beautiful white sand & clear blue waters and is a favourite spot for resident pods of dolphins and migrating whales. Nature is abundant, kangaroo spotting or bird watching with the wake up calls of kookaburras, rosellas and sea eagles. Bring your kayaks for the beach or creek, fishing rods for the rock platform from the beach, snorkelling, sailing, boogie-boarding, boat riding, and cycling, are all popular activities. Catch the ferry to Huskisson for ice cream, fish and chips or a delicious pub lunch.

There are two boat ramps in close proximity, Myola (5min drive) and Callala Bay (5min drive).

The Callala Beach RSL is a great, kid-friendly meeting place with a cheap and cheerful menu, and a 9 hole golf course where you can see Kangaroos.

5 mins drive away, Callala Bay offers Italian and Chinese restaurants, IGA, butcher, bakery, and coffee shop.

We had the most amazing stay at On the verge. Suzanne was the best host allowing us to have an extra night and also accommodating with a late check out. We cannot wait to stay again and have already recommended to family and friends

Location was great. House clean and tidy work well stocked kitchen appliances and utensils. Everything we needed. Loved the coffee machine. Plenty of games to play. Great sitting on the front verandah anytime of day. Lovely shady tree in front yard. Yards very well fenced for our dog. And good sized back yard. The only thing that could be better was the oven took longer than expected. Door may not close properly.
