About this cabin rental
The Little Cabin is part of True North -- a private four-building lakeside estate on the Gull Lake Chain (Roy Lake) in Nisswa, MN, near Brainerd.
Sharing a 5-acre lot and tennis court with the Clubhouse (2+ beds / 3 bath), the Little Cabin (1 bed/1 bath) has all the modern amenities (TV, WiFi, W/D, etc.) as well as a patio, fire pit, and outdoor dry sauna. And it`s pet friendly!
There`s a sleeper sofa in the living room, and the Bunkhouse can be rented separately for extra sleeping space.
The Lodge House (8 bed/5 bath) sits on Roy Lake across the street, however guests in the Little Cabin do not have lake access.
The whole True North estate can be rented for large groups & events.

True North is in the Roy Lake Heights neighborhood on upper Roy Lake. There are some incredible year-round homes, as well as seasonal cabins...and it sits on one of the closest streets to downtown Nisswa (less than a mile) that`s on the Gull Lake chain.
Downtown Nisswa has unique shops and fun places to eat (like Raffertys, A&W, Ganley`s, Ye Olde Pickle Factory, Big Axe micro-brewery, Stonehouse coffee and others). Winter hours for most places are a little scaled back, but summer hours are wide open.
Grocery shopping is best at Schafer`s (about 5-7 min drive) or you can go to SuperValu in Pequot Lakes (about 7-8 minute drive). Other great places to eat or visit in the area that are 5-15 minute drive like historic Grandview Lodge, the Pines Golf Course, Zorbaz, Bar Harbor Supper Club, Lost Lake Lodge, Sherwood Forest and a bunch of others. Craguns, Maddens and other resorts on Gull Lake with pools, tennis, golf, etc. are about a 20 minute drive on the west/south shores of Gull Lake.
- Fire pit in the yard can be used, but guests are responsible for securing burn permit, if needed.
- NO GUNS, NO FIREARMS and NO WEAPONS of any kind allowed on the premises.
- Pets are allowed for an extra fee of $95 for one pet, $150 for two. But they are NOT allowed on the furniture or in or on the shared spaces (hot tub, sauna, exercise room, fire pit, tennis court). Please review the full Pet Policy.

Nice little cabin! Hot tub was lovely even (maybe especially!) in 30F weather (we went early March). Didn’t get a chance to try the sauna so I can't speak to that.I'm sure it says in the listing and I just missed it, but want to call out that the hot tub and sauna are right outside the backdoor of the clubhouse, but a short walk from the cabin. We had a very chilly run back to the cabin after our soak! Bedroom got pretty chilly at night. I'd reccOwner is very nice and gracious. Very easy to work with!

Everything was great. The host might wan to make a note in the instructions that, at least in winter, one has to pull the door for the lock to be able to unlock using the keypad. Other than that, everything was smooth sailing.
