About this house rental
Escape to a private lakefront retreat in Carlin Bay. This vacation home occupies the top two levels of our three-level residence, while your hosts live in a separate lower-level apartment with its own entrance, ensuring your privacy. We’re retired, respectful of your space, and available if you need assistance or local recommendations.
Set on a small point with southern exposure, the home offers sweeping views of Lake Coeur d’Alene from nearly every room and sunshine throughout the day. Relax on the dock, enjoy the water, and take advantage of the complimentary lake toys.
The home comfortably accommodates up to six guests and features central air conditioning. The spacious primary suite includes a king bed, and two additional upstairs bedrooms each offer new queen beds.
The country kitchen opens to a large deck, perfect for lakeside breakfasts and sunset evenings with a glass of local wine awaiting your arrival. In the front yard, unwind beneath the pines, read in the shade, or nap in the hammock.
The home sits on a hillside with a maintained trail, footpath, and stairs leading to the waterfront. Please review the photos to understand the walk to the beach. The natural shoreline features striking basalt rock formations and a deck extending to the pier dock, complete with ample seating, shade, and water amenities, including an Aqua Lily Pad, two stand-up paddleboards, and two kayaks.
The kitchen is thoughtfully stocked with spices, pantry essentials such as olive oil, sugar, salt, and flour, plus paper products. Because of our rural location, we recommend purchasing groceries before arrival. We also provide doTERRA hair and body products and use eco-friendly cleaning products throughout the home.
Ideal for a family getaway or two to three couples seeking a relaxing lakeside escape, this property offers comfort, privacy, and exceptional lakefront living.
Please read our owner story and note that, as we live on the property, we may occasionally visit the private/shared dock to cool off on especially hot summer days.

Our family of 4 stayed for 5 days. The house was perfect. Beautiful views. Tons of toys and games for the kids to play with and the hosts were awesome. We had such a great time.

It is a beautiful home, with a stunning view of the lake. The house was well supplied from soaps to kitchen supplies to things to use in the lake. The owners were very helpful as well.

great location in lakeside position with excellent waterfront and "toys".
Somewhat spoilt as on our last afternoon owners and their family took over the dock area meaning we felt we couldn't access the canoes paddleboards etc, taking the edge off our enjoyment on our last day. Grandkids were especially looking forward to fishing but could not because of the owners young grandkids were in the fishing area,
Checkout processes were demanding - beds to be stripped, washer to be filled and dishwasher filled and started, and departure by 10:00am. We also had to take trash to the dumpster "up the road" (3 mile round trip) only to find somebody had locked it.
Did not meet current UK advertising campaign about property privacy.
In addition be aware that shopping for provisions requires round trip to Coeur d'Alene, facilities in Harrison extremely limited.
