Saar-Hunsrueck Nature Park is an easy 12-minute walk away, so you can leave your car at the property, which offers onsite parking, or jump in your vehicle to make the 9-minute drive to Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park.

The gem museum, gem mine, Celtic settlement were great trips and the open-air swimming pool in Rhaunen was much enjoyed. We visited Herrstein twice! Klaus and Anna were really helpful hosts. Highly recommended.

The house and garden are very nice, spacious and reletively cool during the heat. Garden is just fantastic...you can walk for bread but need to drive for everything else but that is no problem in this area, many sights to see And visit

Our stay in Diamant was amazing, the home is perfect with a giant garden, excellent for families with kids. Communication with the owner was perfect, Klaus and Anna were very kind and careful and hempatizing with our requests! Definitely to recommend!!

On Christmas we decided to travel with 5 people and our dogs and stayed at this wonderful place in Moerschied.
The attention to detail is beautiful and everyone had enough space to move around.

Our family (parents and 4 children, ages 11, 15, 16 and 18) and grandparents stayed in this villa in July 2015. We had a wonderful week there. We enjoyed the comfortable and well –maintained house. The house was also very clean.
Owners, Anna and Klaus, provided good customer service. They told us good tips about sights and places to visit. Here some of these: Summer toboggan run (Sommarrodelbahn) in Erbeskopf, Church of the Rock (Felsenkirche) in Idar-Oberstein, The Lorelei rock on the Rhine, Boat trip on the river Moselle, Porta Nigra and The Dom in Trier, Copper mine in Fischbach, Panoramabad in Leiwen and Freibad in Morbach. We also enjoyed walking and jogging in the countryside and found the area of Mörschied ideal for that.
People in village Mörschied were very friendly and nice. We were very happy to have chosen this villa for our holiday. We will definitely recommend this apartment to our friends and relatives.

Our family - my husband and I, four children (ages 20, 16, 14, and 12), and my parents - stayed in Achat and Diamant for a week over Christmas. Overall, we thought that it was a wonderful place to stay.
Both parts of the house were very clean and in working order when we arrived. Anna and Klaus provided wood for the fireplace and a Christmas tree!
The first floor of the Diamant has a kitchen, large living/dining room, a smaller living room, and a bathroom with a shower stall. The kitchen is beautiful and well-equipped. The wonderful living room has a fireplace, comfortable sofa, and large dining table. The other room downstairs has a sofa and a TV. The second floor has three comfortable, nicely decorated bdrms, each with a double bed, and a very large bathroom with a tub and a separate shower. On the website, the description of the Diamant says that there are four bedrooms and that the house can sleep 8 people. It seemed to us, however, that there were only three bedrooms, which would sleep six people. Maybe two more kids could sleep on the sofa in the smaller living room downstairs, but this room didn’t seem as though it could be counted as an actual bedroom. The Diamant also had a beautiful porch and garden area.
The Achat is on the ground floor of the house. It has a living room/dining area/small kitchen all in one room. The kitchen area has a small refrigerator, a sink, and an oven/stove top. There is a small kitchen table. The living room part of this room has a really comfy chair and a sofa. The Achat has a full bathroom with a tub/shower. There was only one bdrm with a double bed. There did not seem to be a second bdrm, as the description indicates. The website description says that the Achat can sleep 4 people, but we did not see a place where two more people could sleep.
Achat and Diamant are part of the same house. Achat is the ground floor, and Diamant is on the first and second floors. The two are connected by internal stairs which have been blocked off with a thin layer of wood, which cannot be removed. The result is that you cannot access the other part of the house from the inside, but sound travels easily through from one part of the house to the other. This might be odd if you rent one part of the house and someone else rents the other part. Also, the clothes washer is in the Diamant, but the clothes dryer is in the Achat, which also might be awkward if not renting both parts of the house.
