About this house rental
You couldn't ask for a better beach retreat. A quiet gated community with tennis and 2 community pools ... and a beach home that has plenty of space for a large family or multiple families. Grayt Comfort is located in the Preserve at Grayton Beach and has 4 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms and 2 half baths.
When you walk in you're greeted by a cozy little sitting area, not to mention the expansive front porch. Also on the 1st floor are 3 of the bedrooms. Bedroom 1 and 2 share a Jack-and-Jill bathroom with dual vessel sinks and modern tile accents. There is an additional bedroom on the 1st floor that includes a private attached bathroom.
Take the stairs up to the 2nd floor to find the main living area that opens to the beautiful chef's kitchen. Dine at the large table or pull up a stool to the kitchen counter. Enjoy even more outdoor living space with a large balcony and more seating. There is a convenient half bath right off the kitchen. Also on the 2nd floor is the master retreat with king bed and private bath. The bathroom is a true spa experience with dual sinks, soaker tub and separate glass-enclosed shower.
Up on the 3rd floor is an additional bonus space with balcony access. Enjoy soaring views of the tree-lined area. A great spot for everyone to gather together and dine al-fresco!

Beach Access:
Exit the neighborhood and cross 30A. To the west of Sanctuary by The Sea complex you'll find your gated walkway to the beach. Once down the pathway, head right towards the public beach or on your left past the sections of private beach you'll find Grayton Beach State Park.

For the kitchen this includes: 1 roll of paper towels, 1 dish sponge, 1 dish soap, 2 dishwasher pods, 1 pack of kitchen wipes and liners for each trashcan plus 2 washing machine pods. For each bathroom it includes: 1 roll of toilet paper, 1 set of facial and bath soaps/body wash/shampoo/conditioner/lotion. For towels you will receive: 1 body towel/1 washcloth per guest and 2 hand towels per bathroom.

The front yard needs to be trimmed up- too many trees and plants in the yard theres no where to walk or park your bikes. The kitchen needs a few more appliances. We couldnt find any pot holders (we used the kitchen towels), no spatula or griddle. The house was very clean when we arrived. The patio furniture could use a little updating to make it more attractive to sit out and enjoy. The walk to the beach isnt bad but once you get to the beach you have to walk left or right for a good ways bc on both sides is reserved and you cant just set up anywhere even if you get there for sunrise. This was frustrating when you have a party of 15! Pools and pickle ball court is great to have.

House is a little rough around the edges (carpet in bedrooms downstairs, scuffing on floors) and strangely laid out in that the kitchen is on the second floor. All that said, it was perfect for us. We don’t care about cosmetic stuff and the price was great! Love being in the Preserve too, such an awesome secluded community!

The rental unit itself was nice enough and clean. There were only a couple of towels and the provided toiletries were nice to have. (Small Soap, shampoo, lotion) The property is in need of some minor updates. The walls were dirty and could use fresh paint, the furniture is quite dirty looking and could use a good cleaning. Some furniture is damaged and worn. The carpets are dated and a little worn. The sleeping accommodations are excellent and the beds were comfy.
The biggest issue we had was communication with Benchmark. They absolutely stressed me out and ruined two days of my vacation. They threatened me with FEES associated with LARGE AMOUNTS OF GARBAGE that was left from the previous renters.
We had nowhere to put our trash. When we went to empty the trash on our first full day there, we were met with full garbage cans. They said they were likely going to fine US for not taking the full cans to the street for pickup on Thursday. We arrived Wednesday evening and never even thought the cans would be full as we had not needed them! They referred me to their guidebook, which clearly indicated that the trash is to be removed by the guest by either taking the cans to the curb before pick up or removing the trash from the property personally. I did not get a fee.
None of the codes that were given to us by Benchmark for the community, pool, or beach access worked. Fortunately, a kind neighbor saw us at the front gate and gave us the codes when we first got there.
