La Piazza di San Donato, built by the monks of Vallombrosa in the 15th century, is located in the town of Reggello on the slopes of the Pratomagno massif, like a balcony looking out over the marvellous Valdarno and Chianti landscapes. This privileged position is the perfect staging point for visits to Tuscany’s major art cities – Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Arezzo, Certaldo, Cortona – and the entire Chianti region.
At La Piazza di San Donato, you may choose to stay in the historic apartments (45 in total) of the landowner’s villa or the ancient paggeria (pages’ quarters), or in the modern rooms (27 in total) at poolside. Whatever your choice, you will be surrounded by 11 hectares of parkland, the setting for 3 swimming pools, the tennis court, the school of equitation with its large a arena, the restaurant (open from 14/03 to 31/10), the bar and enoteca, and two meeting rooms, to say nothing of the five-a-side football pitch, the skating rink, the table tennis court and the barbecue area.

The Piazza 1 Bilo apartment is all furnished in rustic style, aligned with the villa’s historic ambience, and feature all the comforts for a memorable stay. It is made up of one double bedroom, a living area with cooking corner and possible single sofa bed, a bathroom with shower; the apartment opens on a private outdoor space.
